    Hi,

    I tried updating the site to the newest version of Legenda on the test system and ran into two problems.

    a) The portfolio link [1] stopped working after the update.
    b) The front site rendered mostly blank after the update.

    I restored the old snapshot and once again updated all plugins (including Slider Revolution and Visual Composer) but skipped the theme update for now.

    Would you mind taking a look and just update the theme to see what’s happening for yourself?
    I thought it might be the safer route because that way you can test for yourself that things are working fine before Legenda 2.10..

    I’m really looking forward to the fixed search function :). Thanks again for following up.

    Best regards

    … I forgot an issue:

    The upper pagination line that includes the switch for the list layout isn’t clickable after the update:

    Hello,

    I’ve added this code in child style.css file:

    .product-loop {
       display: inline-block;
    }

    Please check Shop page now.

    Front page is blank because you’re using deprecated version of Post Grid element in VC editor.
    Visual Composer updated some elements and you have to recreate them. So please re-add Post Grid element.

    I’ve checked Portfolio project link and it’s clickable.

    Please show a screenshot what issue you have.

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hi,

    thanks a lot! I will try to rebuild the page asap and report back.

    @Search bug

    – Please see image [1]
    – Please take a look at that product page [2]

    The search term [1] is mentioned within the product fields [2] but the search result won’t show the product.

    This is the exact problem I reported a few months ago.

    Please see for yourself.

    a) Were you able to reproduce the bug?
    b) How to fix this?

    Best regards

    + e.g. Portfolio items won’t show up on the search result page (they are visible in the ajax preview windows, though).

    Hi,

    @Search result page
    That layout looks great! The WPML entries that work fine at other places for products [1] and portfolio items [2] seem to be ignored by the search result page atm, though.

    Any hints regarding the https://www.8theme.com/topic/update-troubles-legenda-2-10/#post-105990 issue?

    Hello,

    As I see search results page is working properly:
    http://storage3.static.itmages.com/i/15/1229/h_1451380676_5150384_fed643a76b.png

    Seems you have cached information.
    Try to disable cache plugin and clear browser and server cache. Check search form after that.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hi,

    @Search result pages
    no it’s not.

    Products is translated to Bücher and Portfolio to Autoren using the .mo/.po files.

    These translations get ignored by the search result page.

    Hi,

    @.mo.po
    ok. How to migrate just the new translation snippets into the previous language file?

    @Search bug
    I outlined the problem in #105990 as specific as I’m able to.

    Hello,

    How to update .po file is described here:
    http://betterwp.net/wordpress-tips/create-pot-file-using-poedit./ (“Updating a .po (and .mo) file”).

    If you’re talking about the issue “The search term [1] is mentioned within the product fields [2] but the search result won’t show the product.” then I don’t see any problems.
    As I showed you on the screenshot http://storage3.static.itmages.com/i/15/1229/h_1451380676_5150384_fed643a76b.png search results are shown.

    Regards,

    Hi,

    maybe you missed the links of [1] and [2] at the private content section?

    [1] shows the search term and the resulting ajax preview window
    [2] shows a product that is missed by the ajax preview window

    Best regards

    Hello,

    That product is missing in search ajax box because “karin” keyword isn’t mentioned in the product title or in the detailed product description.
    Try to add it to the product description and check.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hi,

    yes, but what is the point of a search function that is ignoring/skipping product fields?

    Where to configure what product fields are ignored and what fields count?

    As I said. This is the exact bug I reported months ago.

    Best regards

    Hello,

    Please take our apologies but our developers modified search results function due to your queries. They made all the best to improve it.
    Unfortunately in this situation a searching keyword should be listed in title or in product full description.

    Thank you for understanding.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

    Hi,

    ok. I really appreciate your efforts. The configuration option for search pages helps a lot!

    I’ll try to work around that other thing.

    Thanks again!

    Best regards
