I have my xtheme site on X domain right now. I want to permanently move it to Y domain on a different host.

What are the things I need to take care of as the license is only valid for one primary installation.

I plan to use WP all-in-one migration tool. Are there better alternatives and if so, are there any guides or instructions I could use.

Another important thing is that the plugin update failed for store plugin. Why would that happen. I am sending the error using Wetransfer here – https://we.tl/t-HBaOIqfxio

I took a backup before this plugin update failed. How does that affect the site migration.

I am very concerned as the theme plugin updates don’t usually fail like this. Is this theme stable enough or I will have to eventually move to a stable them in future.

    This is urgent. Please help.

    Thank you.

    Hello, Yuvi,

Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.

Please read this article first – https://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/163-how-to-registerderegister-xstore-theme-livestaging-websites You are using XStore one 2 sites right now, screenshot we added in the Private Content area.

Site migration is not related to the theme, so we don’t have any detailed suggestions. We recommend contacting your hosting provider, because, as a rule, hosting support helps with this.

About PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10), please apply the solution from this topic – https://www.8theme.com/topic/i-can-not-update-xstore-from-my-wordpress/#post-359539
This problem occurs when you are trying to update the theme or plugin on the different domain that the theme was activated (for example you activated the theme on localhost and moved it to live domain). Re-activation as described in the topic will help you.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Our support team is always available to assist you.

    Kind Regards,
    8theme team

The error has occurred on the activated site. Not on the different domain where I plan to migrate. I have tried but the migration fails.

    Hello, Yuvi,

Thank you for your response, but please follow our recommendations, do not skip them.

“The error has occurred on the activated site. Not on the different domain where I plan to migrate” – please follow next steps to be able to update the plugin:
    – unregister theme – https://prnt.sc/fIdNdLjNXJai
    – re-enter the purchase code and register the theme
    – go to Dashboard > Updates > click Check again link https://prnt.sc/yygl09 – this is important.
The update the plugin – https://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/37-plugins-update
Also, we can do this for you, in case you provide us with the URL and temporary wp-admin access.

“I have tried but the migration fails.” – Site migration is not related to the theme. We are not sure what exactly you tried, and on what exactly step it fails, you did not describe it, but if you can’t migrate, contact your hosting provider to get assistance. Our theme does not cause any problems for the correct migration process.

    We hope for your understanding.

    Kind Regards,
    8theme team

    Seems that solution doesn’t work.

I see there are 4 patchers being shown. Should I apply them all. Will it help?

    Hello, Yuvi,

“I see there are 4 patchers being shown. Should I apply them all. Will it help?” – with the latest XStore theme version, there should not be any Patchers, because there were included in the latest theme version.
Please do not update the Core plugin before the theme update.
In your case, you need to update XStore to v.9.1.8 version first – https://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/63-theme-update and only after that update the Core plugin.
To update the theme manually, please, download XStore – Installable Archive from this page https://www.8theme.com/downloads/ , then go to your Dashboard > Themes > Add new > Upload theme > select theme archive > Install now > Replace current with upload and the theme will be updated.

“Seems that solution doesn’t work.” – as was mentioned we can help you update the Core plugin in case you provide temporary access. Did you read our documentation? Have you tried to update it via FTP?
There is another simple way to update plugins, please follow the next steps: 1/ Download a plugin from this page – https://www.8theme.com/account ; 2/ Go to Dashboard > Plugins > Add new > Upload plugin > Choose plugin > Install now > click on “Replace current with uploaded” and the plugin will be updated on your site.

    Kind Regards,

Very strange as theme does not show that an update is pending. Why would that be the case? Why I have to do it manually cause most themes are updated on a click.. isn’t it?

    Hello, Yuvi,

To be able to answer to you we need to check the situation on your site more deeply.
Could you provide temporary wp-admin access?

Did you rename the parent theme or did changes in the files? It can be the reason for the problem.

    Kind Regards,
    8theme team

The manual upload worked for both the Theme and plugin. Thanks.

But I wanted to know whether I have to activate this plugin named – Kirki Customizer Framework ?

Also I have tried to change the color & font of the Menu header but the change is not reflected on the front end. Can you please suggest how to change the Font style and background color of this Menu (screenshot attached).

    Please contact administrator
    for this information.

    Hello, Yuvi,

Thank you for letting us know.

No, please do not activate the Kirki plugin to prevent conflicts with our Core plugin.

Please disable the Menu cache first (Theme Options > Speed optimization). Then go to Theme Options > Header Builder > Main menu > Font Family. Header Builder > Main header > WCAG Color. Theme Options > Breadcrumbs > Background Color and Background Image.

    Kind Regards,
    8theme team
