Static Block & Visual Composer - by Ryan

    I think I might be missing something. When i create a static block and then try to pull it in via Visual Composer, I noticed that there is no 8-theme option to do so.

    I know that I can use a shortcode with the static block id. However, i’m not sure how to obtain my static block id.

    So with that said, I have two questions

    1) Is there a quick widget in Visual composer that I can bring in my static block?
    2) How do I find my static block id?

    Hello,

    1. You can create widget with the static block in Appearance > Widgets > Custom Sidebar. Create a new sidebar and drag “8theme – Static Block” widget into there. Then in Visual Composer you can select the element “Widgetised Sidebar” and choose the sidebar you created. Or you can try using Text element and insert the shortcode for static block: [block id=" "].

    2. Static block id can be found in the address bar of your browser:
