    Hello!

On Apple devices especially, there are some visual bugs – see below:

    1. On an iPad, the top menu (with Log In / Registration) doesn’t appear. The live site is this one. This happens on both in-built Safari browser, and also on Chrome.

    2. On an iPad, but ONLY in the built-in Safari browser (in Chrome everything is ok) the products aren’t shown grouped on the page, but with many gaps, although I made sure the height of the product title is fixed via a custom css. You can view screenshots here and here, and also the live product listing page here.

    3. In iOS (AirBook / iOS phone / iPad), in any browser, ONLY the special romanian characters (Θ™ and Θ›) that are generated by the theme aren’t shown as they should.

This happens not only in the menu, but also in the message of the shopping cart when is empty (that’s a custom message from the theme’s settings). See here (make sure the cart is empty).

Also, you can see the price filter from the sidebar. In romanian, Price is PreΘ› – the last character is not shown also in the screenshots from problem no. 2.

This usually happens (in other cases) if the charset isn’t UTF8 / ISO-8859-2. If the charset for example for newsletters is ISO-8859-1, then problems arise with romanian characters.

The strange thing is that on Android (mobile) devices everything is ok. Can you please investigate this? Thanks πŸ™‚

    Hello,

    Sorry for a long delay.
    1. Log In / Registration links are moved to the mobile menu when the site is viewed on mobile devices.
    2. Sorry but we didn’t see any problems with the products.
    3. The font issue has been fixed. We’ve enabled extended latin font in header.php file.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

Just wanted to leave a note for your devs regarding the bugs from the first post:

    1. The header menu issue is gone, because we’ve switched from header no. 12 to header no. 8 from theme settings. So, on header 8 (right now), the my account menu area is visible.

However, on header 12 the problem is still present (the my account area isn’t visible on an ipad).

    2. Problem still isn’t solved.

    3. The problem is solved. Probably you’ve made some changes to the theme via the ftp recently.

Thanks again and please check for the problem no. 2 from the first post.

    Hello!

I’ve just updated to the latest version of the theme (1.7), and the problem with the romanian characters (no 3 from the original reply) reappeared.

Can you please ask your colleague that solved this issue in the first place to solve it again? And please leave here a changelog so I can solve it by myself in future versions of the theme.

    Thank you πŸ™‚

PS: Problem no 2 still isn’t solved.

    Hello,

We’ve created a child theme for you where modifications are made, so you won’t lose any changes after update.
Please provide us with a link where products are shown incorrectly on iPad.
Also please show a screenshot of the 12th header type menu where Registration and Sing In links are missed.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

Any news on this very old thread? πŸ˜€

Should I resend some login info (the ones in the first reply were deleted)?

From the first post, problem 1 still isn’t solved (with header 12, however now I use header 8, which is ok), and no 2 also isn’t solved (products with gaps).

    Thanks.

Do you mean this screenshot http://postimg.org/image/60hzzfpkx/ ?
    What should be changes there?

Yes, the screenshot is made on a page with more than 5 products. On the white space / gap there should be another product.

    Was my explanation ok? πŸ™‚

I have the same issue with the image layout of products when using Safari browser on the i pad. I am using layout of 12 products per page, on a chrome or IE on I pad, or on laptop and Pc it shows 4 rows of 3 products per row. When using Safari on the I pad it has a very random display, and it is never the same each time you refresh or reload. Sometimes it will be one image on 1st row, then 3 on 2nd row, and 1 on 3rd row, and one on 4th row, if you refresh the page they may then show correctly, or they may be another totally different random layout.

    http://www.lovefascinators.co.uk/3.PNG
    http://www.lovefascinators.co.uk/4.PNG

1 and 2 showing issues 3 and 4 same page that has been refreshed.

There have been no customisations to CSS

8theme version 1.71 (Think wee have chosen the Food theme option)
    Header 12, Left sidebar
    Wordpress Version 4.11

    Thanks very much Rowan

    Hello @jonesgemma,

Please try to use this code in custom.css file:

    .products-grid .product-title {
      height: 50px;
    }

    After that check products display.

How to create custom.css you can watch in this tutorial (it’s for Legenda theme but the process is the same).

    Thank you.
    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

Hi there, thanks for your gudance here, have tried this and it hasn’t made any difference, the issue is still the same. You also did not address the issue raised regarding the Wp options table raised in my PM last night.

    Thanks
