I’m trying to build a site around your theme at the moment, but even with very little content at the moment its taking forever for the site to load. I’ve disabled all plugins and it’s still taking an age to load (I’m taling a few minutes here not seconds)

Any help would be appreciated as it’s near impossible to work on this site with the slow load times

    Hi Eva,

I have gone through those links and installed W3 Cache etc. But the problem seems to be with the theme. When I revert back to the standard theme the site works fine. I have disabled all plugins with your theme and the site is still impossibly slow. I just can’t understand it.

Can you help in any other way?

    Hello,

Please contact your hosting provide and ask them to increase values of memory_limit, post_max_size functions.

    After that check your site.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

My server provider said the out of memory errors are no longer appearing in the error_log file. And the mentioned php.ini directive values have been increased.

However, the site is still suffering with the slowness.

    Any more ideas?

    Hello,

Please take our apologies for the delay.
I was trying to check your site configuration on different server, so I’ve copied your files and database and restored them on a test server where the site worked without any problems. After testing all your data were deleted from the test server. That’s why I suppose that there is some problem with your current hosting provider server configuration. Try to move a copy of your site to alternative webhosting and check the site there.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

Thank you Jack, I appreciate the effort. I will do as you say and speak to the hosting provider to see if I can get a resolution.

    Thanks.

Sorry to bring this back up. I have been speaking with my hosting provide who said that both the main site and sub-domain (which this one is) are on the same server so cannot understand why one site is running fine and this one like this.

They ask if there are any specific PHP version or extensions required to be enabled for the subdomain?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

There are no specific PHP or extensions settings for our theme. In the documentation https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/classico/ in section “1.1. Classico Theme Requirements” you can find needed requirements.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.
