Should enlarged images in Single Product Page be scrollable?

When clicking on the thumbnail to see the large version of an image, should there not be a way to scroll through all the images that way? The way it’s set up now, I would have to click on each thumbnail and then close the picture to look at the next thumbnail to enlarge it.
