    When using the search option/function, the search results scatter for a few seconds with various results but then populates my search results in a miscellaneous way with irrelevant products populating before relevant products. In addition, the images from time to time will show a loading circle behind the product images.

    Need to insure when someone is searching for a product (especially by name), it populates correctly.

    Please advise.

    I have the same issues. The results are irrelevant ;/ If I use two-words search I get result only for the first… i.e.:
    “face cream” I’ve got results only for “face”…

    Would you be so kind to check it, please?

    Hello, @Crogers,

    Ajax search in header delivers users instant and changing results as they type in the dropdown which shows the product. That’s why you see different result till the moment when the full word is entered. We’ll add the option to disable predictive search in next theme update if you don’t like it.
    By default, it searches by title and description (in the same way as WooCommerce Search widget works). If you need more advanced search (by sku, by title only) I would recommend you to use additional plugins.

    Regards

    Hello, @grzesiekkolo,

    I checked your site and products and don’t see problem with search. It searches by title and description and displays results that include both or at least one of the words in title or description. If you need more advanced search (by title only, by sku etc) I would recommend you to use additional plugins.

    Regards

    Hi Olga,

    Thanks for the response. I’m still not clear why when doing a search for a product it takes a few seconds and several changes in the results dropdown. You say “ajax search in header delivers users instant and changing results as they type in the dropdown” but that’s not how I see it. Here’s the video for your review: http://screencast.com/t/9iYvEmuuP1

    I did figure out how sensitive the search function is. Having a word within the product description will populate that word in the search results. I had to edit a few products so they wouldn’t conflict with other product searches.

    Lastly, could you please address my additional concern of why “the images from time to time will show a loading circle behind the product images” and what can be done so this doesn’t happen? Here is a screen shot: hhttp://screencast.com/t/uSY2wPgpH8

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    You are using images with transparent bg, that’s why you see the loader icon. Try this code to fix loader for images

    .header-search .ajax-results .product-list-image {
        background-color: #fafafa;
    }

    Problem with ajax search we’ll fix in 2.6 update that will be available within next few days. I have sent you files to fix it before update release.

    Hi Olga,

    The search option now has a dropdown menu and still isn’t working correctly.

    If I type in Stacks, nothing populates and nothing shows up.

    In addition, I noticed when doing a filter on the products page, the website has to completely reload. Was there talk about doing this using AJAX?

    If not, do you have any plugins you’d recommend that will help with these 2 needs?

    Thanks!

    Hello, @Crogers,

    1) You are using search widget instead of our default search form for this type of header. That’s why you don’t have our default drop-down. But as I can see you find additional plugin to add drop-down.

    2) We don’t have Ajax filter option. If you want to have such filter I would suggest you the following plugin https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-product-filter/8514038
