I’ve checked the search in Safari browser http://prntscr.com/fxhtic

version 5.1.7. it’s strange because the search bar will appear sometimes, but it seems to be random.

actually, it now appears that you have to leave the mouse cursor over the search icon for a few seconds for the search bar to appear. this only occurs in safari. this is still not ideal. is it possible to have that popup search box be persistent or always visible so that you don’t have to mouse over it to make it appear?

When I check your search in Safari browser – https://gyazo.com/b2e923354d43960824b92e33a7babdb3
You can change Search view in Theme Options > Header Settings.

You can use Loco Translate plugin to change text via translation https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/woopress/#!/2_how_to_translate
    http://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/30-base-theme-translation
or copy functions with this text from /woopress/framework/theme-functions.php into function.php of your child theme and change text.

Yes, you can change this text in /woopress/framework/theme-functions.php file.
We recommend you to make changes in a child theme.
