Hi,

I have having trouble amending a few things on your template, after spending many hours trying to find the solution. So just wondered if you would be able to help me. Many thanks in advance. Please see questions matched with images explaining everything below.

1) Shop Categories Menu – Currently it has a list bar at the left hand side and i would like to take that off. How do i make this amend? In Private Content Please see link 1) Shop Categories Menu- But i would also like to keep it on the product page Please see link 1.1) shop product page.

2.1) Also i might just have 3 products going across without any list menu on the product pages. How do i make this amend taking of the list menu and how many products are displayed horizontally ?

3) On the product page -Is there any way of amending the “sort by” list or show filter?

4) On the inner product page – there are social media links which the template has put there – how can i take certain ones off and change the links?

5) On the inner product page – there is a “review” tab which the template has put there, How do i take this off and just leave my tab on which is “shipping and delivery” ? Or take them both off completely ?

6) I have having a problem amending the size of my product photos- I make them bigger and then check to see the update- but is doesn’t update? are there restrictions to resizing the product images? I have watched many tutorials. some tutorials are saying to install a plugin then the image sizes will work.

7) i can’t seem to make my contact banner full width. how do i make this amend? I have stated it to be full, but it won’t make it full width.

8) On the home page on the top banner -i need to change where my social media icons link to- how do i do this? I can see no where in the template to change these.

Hello,

Thanks for the topic.
Please post different questions in different topics. Thanks in advance.
1. Please try to add this code in custom css:
```
.post-type-archive-product .main-products-loop {
    width: 100%;
    left: 0;
}
.post-type-archive-product .sidebar {
    display:  none;
}
```
2. The sidebar can be disabled via Theme Options > Products Page Layout > Layout.
“Products per page” you can change via Customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog.

Also, you use the latest version of WC plugin, so I would recommend you to update theme https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/royal/#!/installation_upgrade
If you made changes in the parent theme files, then you’ll lose them after theme update. That’s why you need move all modifications to child theme https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ (Royal Child Theme). Please read WordPress Codex https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes how to make changes in the child theme.
Before uploading theme files delete “woocommerce” folder, which is located in wp-content/themes/royal/ to avoid problems with old files (it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package).
Don’t forget to create backup of your files and database before starting update process! Your theme options could be exported in a file (Theme Options > Import/Export > Options > Export Options) to be able to restore the site to the previous state if something goes wrong. Also, check the widgets and make sure that you know where every widget is placed because they could be messed up after the update.
You need to enter your purchase code to activate our new theme version and skip Setup Wizard.
Please, re-save your Royal options after upgrading the theme. Navigate to admin panel > Theme Options and hit Save changes.

3. “Show Filter” can be disabled via Theme Options > Products Page Layout > Hidden sidebar.
To change content of all sidebars go to Appearance > Widgets.
Default sortings can be changed via Customizer because this relates to default WC functionality.

4. To remove share icons go to Theme Options > Single Product Page and set “Show share buttons” to “Off”. There are no options to change these links.

5. Please read this article https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/editing-product-data-tabs/ (add code in functions.php file of child theme).
Product reviews you can disable in Woocommerce > Settings > Products > General > Reviews.

6. Likely the problem relates to incompatible WC and theme versions you use. Please update the theme and read this article https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/fixing-blurry-product-images/
Image size can be changed via Customize > Wocommerce > Product Images.
Before 3.3 version WooCommerce had options for every type of image – single product, catalog and gallery image. In version 3.3 WC developers changed options and moved them to the Customizer. In version 3.3.3 they removed image settings at all even from customizer. We keep the previous version of their settings http://prntscr.com/ik093w But 8theme product widgets and gallery images use WP thumbnails size (Settings > Media) because WC customizer does not have the individual settings for this because of 3.3 update. So, if you don’t want to crop thumbnails images disable crop in WP settings and regenerate thumbnails.

7, 8. Please provide screenshots.

Thanks you very, very much for all you help.

For 7 and 8 question I have put a image link in private content below. I have circled the top social media icons, i am having a problem amending one of the links Facebook. I can’t seem to find where to amend this link. The other is the banner on contact page , which i have circled. It will not go full width. when i am stating full width.

Hi,
1) I am having a problem with my product page. Please see the image link in the “private content” section. When the page is first loaded the images stay very small as on the link. The image stay this small for a few mins and then the images become large. I have checked the theme options and nothing changes this.

Also, confirm that you have a full backup of your site, theme options, and DB.

FTP logins are below in private section for the update of the template. Yes site is fully backed up.

Hello,

We have updated theme for you.
1) It’s related to the site speed. The script that creates slider loads a little bit slow that’s why it takes time to build slides. You can try to enable site preloader to show the page only when all the content is loaded. Also, I would recommend you to speed up the site.
If you need help with this you can submit the request to WPKraken team.

Hi,

I recently launched my site and am using your Royal theme. The problem that i have is with how the website loads each page. So if you click on a button in my top menu – the site goes black (as it is loading the page) then comes up with 100%. This is for every page that is loaded. This is quite annoying for customers and i know i will get a lot of cart abandonment at checkout. When i checked out this template in Themeforest (before i bought it), it never displayed like this. I have been told this style of page load is Ajax. Can it be turned off? How do i rectify this problem?

Hi,

I am having trouble over laying text on an image. I have tried to do this various ways. So on my home page i have two boxes under the slider of images. I want to have live text on these boxes for SEO purposes for headings. I have seen on the Royal EXAMPLE templates that you can do it. Please see pink box to left on home page and blue box for free shipping to the right. So i want to put on the blue “on orders over $50…” as live text and “find your perfect lash” live text for pink. At the moment the text is all in the jpegs. Please can you help as nothing that i try is working. The text never lines up and the image never displays in full. For the moment i have put these two boxes on my website with the text and image in the jpeg. I just want to lay the existing type that is in the jpg as live text over it.

Also could you Please update my theme. I have done all necessary backups.

3) On your Royal theme ecommerce examples on themeforest on the single product page- you have a breadcrumb headings at the top of the single product pages. How to i enable this, as it is not showing on my website and i can’t find it in theme options.

4) On my “shop now” page- I have a list on the menu drop down of either “show now” “mink lashes” “adhesive glues” to choose from. My “shop now” page shows my categories in image boxes. One for mink lashes and one for adhesive glues. How can i take this off and just have “shop all” and list all the products as well as keeping the “mink lashes” and “adhesive glues” on the drop down? The reason for this is because i don’t have a lot of products i don’t think i need this page showing the two categories with images on. I can’t find any Royal theme videos on this regarding your product categories set up.
5) I also need to add top banners with live text to both of the categories (mink and glue) and am having trouble with getting the text in the right place with the image. I have tried to add top banners from products- then categories – then i go into each category to up load an image and some text. How do this without having to write code?

Hello,

1) You can try to use row and row bg as the banner image and add the custom headings as the text to create that banner. Unfortunately, you did not upload banner images without text and I was not able to try to create example for you.
I have updated theme for you. But the code in your child theme functions.php caused issue and I have commented out it. So, check the code you have there and fix it.

3) You disabled the breadcrumbs in Theme Options > Header settings > Breadcrumbs http://prntscr.com/lkeba2 that why you don’t see them.

4) Go to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Catalog and choose show products instead of categories http://prntscr.com/lkedbi .

5) Use category description or category header to add the banner on the product category http://prntscr.com/lkedru You can choose the description position in theme options http://prntscr.com/lkee7l Also you may use static block shortcode in category description (for example [block id=”16576″]) to show the static block content created by WPBakery editor there.

Thanks so much for you help. I just have a question in response to a few other things. But thanks so much with your help.

1) I have uploaded my two boxes i was talking about, without the text to the before and after page. The before and after page isn’t live, so would you be able to show me what you mean? It can be dummy text. I just need to see how to position the type and how lay text over the image.

1.1) When you say the update caused an issue what do you mean? what kind of issue? is it affecting the way the website looks? What will i need to get a developer to do? where is this code located?

For all your help. The box examples are just what i was trying to create.

1.1) With the code screen shot you supplied. What number line is your comment on? please could you explain in more detail how it looks front end or in a screen shot. As I am not sure what “autogenerated Undefined text next to price in the cart” means? Could this mess up with cart when people are paying?

Hi Olga,

1) For the example that you showed me on the “before and after” page of the boxes with the live text on- i have recreated this for the home page. But when i view it on different devices it doesn’t look right. i have tried adjusting the responsive option in the row, but it doesn’t do anything. Please could you let me know how i can adjust this so that it works for all screens.

1.1) Who did add code from the screenshot for you? Do you know how the to add/remove the comment in PHP file? Remove comment (lines 162 and 218) and save the file. You’ll see the problem I’m talking about.

1) Sorry, but we don’t have the ready settings for such case. You can play with the element options to try to make it look nice for different devices. Also, you may try to use Revolution slider Hero scene type https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/slider-setup/#slidertype to create these banners + interesting effects if you are not able to manage WPBakery elements. Revolution slider has good options for responsive layouts.
