Reset Password on Xstore My Account Login Tabs not working

    Hello, when trying to use the password reset function, the user doesn’t receive the email to reset password. I have confirmed that user does receive emails when password has been reset manually by admin.

    I am using the Xstore account / login frields on the elementor pop up.,

    Hello, when trying to use the password reset function, the user doesn’t receive the email to reset password. I have confirmed that user does receive emails when password has been reset manually by admin, and I have tested password reset outgoing email with a different plugin

    I am using the Xstore account / login fields on the elementor page.

    This is an urgent issue because users are not able to sign in currently due to passwords not being transferred at migration.

    SO currently nobody can sign in, and nobody can reset passwords.

    Could you kindly provide us with a video demonstrating the issue you described? This would help us better understand the steps required to replicate the problem, as it is currently unclear to us.

    Additionally, we recommend using the default WooCommerce shortcode https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-shortcodes/page-shortcodes/#my-account for the “My Account” page for testings. The functionality about not sending emails you mentioned is not related to our theme but is instead managed by the WooCommerce plugin (https://prnt.sc/SdYWHuHQ_IYB). As a result, such emails should be generated by WooCommerce’s code rather than our theme.

    For further troubleshooting, you may also consider testing the issue using a default theme such as Storefront. However, we strongly advise performing such tests on a staging environment to avoid any potential disruptions to your live site.

    Hi,

    I can’t provide a video. Because how am I supposed to show an email not coming??

    With regards too the issue mentioned, You can test the password reset as a guest. I provided you with a customer login detail so you can further test if needed.

    All emails are being sent by wordpress successfully, including password resets by admin.

    The only emails that aren’t being sent, is the password reset email from within the xstore my account.

    To test this for yourself

    1: Go to the website url

    2: Click “lost password”

    3: Enter the user name Demo_user, or any user for that matter.

    4: You will see that it says email has been sent.

    5: I can confirm (without you needing to check my inbox) if the email is received, which it will not, which is why I am here.

    Screenshots show that the reset password email is enabled, screenshot 2 shows that all emails in the list are also activated, and sending successfully.

    I can confirm that password reset email does get sent when submitted my admin, just now when using the xstore my account tabs

    Additionally, we previously requested that you test the issue using WooCommerce’s default shortcodes and a default theme such as Storefront. Could you please confirm whether you have conducted these tests? If so, we would appreciate it if you could share the results of your testing.

    To test this for yourself

    All emails are being sent by WordPress, when admin forces password reset, the email will send, email only doesn’t send when customer uses the XSTORE MY ACCOUNT LOGIN TABS, and the regular login tabs are showing as “locked” on elementor, leaving me with no option but to be stuck using the XSTORE one, which doesnt work.

    This reference illustrates exactly what my screenshot was supposed to illustrate, that the reset password email is active on the page in your reference, still doesnt send

    Hello @Terpsauce

    Could you please test if the same issue occurs when using a default theme, such as Storefront? (Appearance — Themes). We asked you to make such test but you ignored such request -> https://www.8theme.com/topic/reset-password-on-xstore-my-account-login-tabs-not-working/#post-438482.
    If the behavior continues regardless of the theme being used, it suggests that the problem may not be related to the theme itself. In this case, we would recommend you contact support of woocommerce plugin – https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce/

    Yeah looks like it still happens with storefront, but even when store front is enabled, the login box is showing as the xstore accounts tabs, not WordPress default

    The problem was due to Contact 7 (which comes with theme) conflict with theme/plugin configuration. Its been resolved now
