    Hello, Lani,

We appreciate your initiative in contacting us regarding your inquiry.

We would like to inform you that you have the option to establish a staging site, which is a complete replica of your active website. This will allow you to implement and test any modifications in a secure environment before applying them to your live site.

Furthermore, we strongly recommend that you apply changes using a child theme. This practice ensures that your customizations are preserved and not overwritten during any updates to the parent theme.

Regarding Instagram integration, we kindly ask you to refer to the following article for detailed instructions on updating your Instagram API token: https://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/189-instagram-api-token

We hope this information is helpful.

    Best Regards,

I still have the staging site that I used before to create my website. However, a lot of content has already been added to the live site that is not on the staging site.
So what should I do? I just want to change or add some Xstore templates.

    Hello, Lani,

Do you mean these templates – https://prnt.sc/CaleEahJ-NBh from Elementor? You can edit them directly on-site.
Do you mean XStore Buildera templates, like Single Product or Archive https://prnt.sc/KvoqrIhXCAWh ? You can also edit them directly but do not set conditions to show them to customers.

Should you be referring to a different matter, we kindly request that you provide us with a more detailed explanation, accompanied by relevant screenshots, to assist us in understanding your needs better.

We look forward to your response and are here to assist you with any further questions you may have.

    Best Regards,

    Hi Rose,

Thanks for the reply. What I meant was.
Notice that both do not look the same anymore. New posts and designs have been added/changed.

    Staging site: https://prnt.sc/zjc6TdqNIID_
    live site: https://prnt.sc/zL01hc-7rHjH

I want to add/ change new templates to the areas pointed by the arrow https://prnt.sc/xF6pIVlvW8eF

How do I do that using my old staging site when the appearance and content are already different from the live? I have just been editing on the live site but since this new project will take time, I don’t know what to do.

Should I make a new staging site? Or should I use this old one. Either way please give me instructions.

Also, how do I know if I am applying changes using a child theme? Sorry not good at this. Please help

    Hello, Lani,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your query.

We have reviewed your inquiry and noted that it does not directly pertain to our theme functionality, but it is about content management.

We understand that you are looking to make changes to your website and are considering whether to use your existing staging site or create a new one, given the differences that have developed between the staging and live sites.

Based on the screenshots you’ve provided and your description, it seems that the staging site and the live site have diverged significantly. If the staging site is outdated and does not reflect the current state of the live site, it might be more efficient to create a new staging environment. This will ensure that any changes you make can be tested against the most recent version of your live site, reducing the risk of conflicts or issues when you go to implement those changes on the live site.

Should your inquiry pertain solely to the content of a single page, you have the option to save its contents as a template https://prnt.sc/UJikYXYuQY33 and transfer it from one website to another. For your reference, please visit the following link to learn more about the template library: https://elementor.com/help/template-library/

It is crucial to understand the specific differences between the websites in question. This could involve variations in page content, theme options (which can be imported and exported), as well as potentially differing plugins and other internal settings.

We recommend reaching out to your hosting provider, as they may offer a proprietary solution for migrating content and settings between sites.

To ascertain which theme is currently activated on your site, whether it is a parent or child theme, you can navigate to Appearance > Themes.

    Best Regards,
