    Hi,

Today I tried to update to WP 4.1.1, Woocommerce from 2.2.10. to 2.3.4 and also Legenda from 2.4.1 to 2.6. The result became a completely unusable website. I restored my site from backup and it is OK now, but this was the first such update when something went wrong. First WP 4.1.1 seemed good, then I updated Woocommerce and I saw some odd things, like double checkout button and other double things in the cart pages…. Since I got messages from Woocommerce that some files are outdated I updated Legenda, but the result was a website with only header and background image of the boxed layout, and nothing else. So I had to upload the backed up files.

    What can be the problem?

I give you pass codes in hidden content.

    Thank you in advance.

    Fedor

    Hello,

There is compatibility issue of the theme with new Woocommerce plugin after their update.
Our developers are working on the solution and a new theme version will be released very soon.
Please take our apologies for inconveniences.

    Thank you for your patience.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

I have just wasted an evening with exactly these same issues. Very worrying to find the site totally unusable and having to explain this to the client.

My home page disappeared. I suspected the Revolution slider, deleted it intending to restore the latest and lost the sliders. I could not recreate them. Fortunately I was able to unwind to an earlier backup.

Really need this sorted asap! As the site has horrid layout problems e.g. double checkout buttons. Thank you.

    Hi,

Thank you for the answer, Eva. I also thought that there is something around the plugins and I suspect (as read somewhere in the forum) that YITH Woocommerce whislist plugin can be the problematic. I decided never to use it again.

But my main concern is another thing. We operate webshops, for making money. WordPress says there is an update, and it is important to make update for security issues. And then turns out that there are incompatibilities.

I think all who bought the Legenda (or other) theme you should inform in case of safe update can be made. And it would be highly necessary when there is Woocommerce update. You have all customers’ e-mail addresses.

I decided to try the update to Legenda 2.6 because I saw in the forum a proposal (about 2 days old post) for update because it is fully compatible with Woocommerce. But not.

I think you would need a kind of information system to avoid such problems, because it is serious.

Can you do something for this?

    Thanks.

    Fedor

I made a temporary fix while waiting for an update to the theme – I went back to version 2.4.1 and commmented out the checkout button function call in woocommerce/cart.php , so we have:

    <?php /*** <a href="<?php echo esc_url( $woocommerce->cart->get_checkout_url() ); ?>" class="fl-r arrow-right checkout-button button big"><span><?php _e('Proceed to Checkout', ETHEME_DOMAIN); ?></span></a> ***/ ?>

By commenting out this line the double checkout button problem has gone away.

    Hi,

Dou you have any information if the template’s newest version to WooCommerce 2.3.5 is ready or not?

And please confirm if the template works correctly with the newest WooCommerce plugin since last week for me it was a horrible issue.

    Thank you.

    Hello @Flexibilis,

Our theme files are compatible with the latest Woocommerce version.
Before updating the theme you need remove the folder “woocommerce” in wp-content/themes/legenda directory.

    Thank you.

    Eva Kemp.

    Hi

I installed the latest version 2.6.2 of Legenda and my home page content area was blank.
What could be causing this? I have not yet tried removing the Woocommerce folder, would this help? Or is the problem elsewhere? Version 2.4.1 is working ok.

    Hello @UrbnDesignz,

You need remove review-order.php file in wp-content/themes/royal/woocommerce/checkout directory.
After that check the Checkout page.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Sorry, but it is a disaster. I did as you wrote (Before updating the theme you need remove the folder “woocommerce” in wp-content/themes/legenda directory), but again I got an almost blank site with no opening page and broken content. I just do again backward everything to get it work.

Do something so that it could work!

    Thank you.

    Hi,

Of course you may. I updated the theme before several times, so I do not understand what can be the problem now. Please update WooCommerce as well to the latest one (2.3.5) and check the result!

    Please make a backup before!

    Data in private content added.

    Thanks,

    Fedor

    Hi,

Last night I made a new backup of the files and the database.
But considering the traffic the update would be good between 17.00 – 20.00 CET if you can solve it. I should be somewhere around the computer if anything goes wrong I could restore the site without too much delay.
    Is it possible this way?
(I still havent received the notification e-mail about your post in the forum.)
    Regards,
    Fedor
