I am setting up my store and running many instances where the options in the Theme Builder simply does not change anything.

Layout of shop, single product page, breadcrumbs. I can almost list more things that do nothing than the things that work. I have built a few stores in WP using Elementor before, so I can make all the changes I need in Elementor and create new templates. But with so many options nicely organized, I was hoping it would be easier to click and see changes live in the various areas in the Theme Options

I added a few options showing nothing changes when I change e.g. layout in the shop. I have now added some new sample products, but this was the same issues when I first started changing things in the shop page. Nothing happened for a lot of the buttons.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

1/ Your site is under maintenance mode, so we can’t check it.
    https://prnt.sc/I98D0uHNzhfzhttps://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/woocommerce/great-things-are-on-the-horizon-or-site-visibility-from-woocommerce-plugin/

2/ There are two header builders available, and you can choose the one that best suits your preferences:
    – Header Builder in Theme Options (old one) – https://youtu.be/RbdKjQrFnO4?feature=shared
    – Header Builder with Elementor – https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/xstore-builders/new-xstore-header-builder-with-elementor/

If you have 2 builders activated, the settings from the new one (Elementor) will have higher priority.

In your case, the settings from the new Elementor Header Builder work.

The same for Single Product Builder and Shop page (Archive products builder) – https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/xstore-builders/xstore-single-product-builder-with-elementor/ https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/xstore-builders/xstore-products-archive-builder-with-elementor/

    Warm Regards,
    The 8Theme Team

I have now opened up the page.

Ok so what is the point of all these menues in the native Theme Options many of them do not work?
And how do I know if an item is being controlled by Elementor some other place?

I understand making new pages and editing templates. It is more the site wide settings and various options I struggle finding in other locations than in the theme options.

    Hello,

    We appreciate your prompt response.

1/ Header: Go to XStore Builders > Header Builder with Elementor > edit template (the header builder in Theme Options can be disabled or simply ignored)
2/ Footer: XStore Builders > Footer > edit temmplate
3/ Single product layout: XStore Builders > Single Product Builder > edit template

We appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns regarding the Theme Options and how they interact with Elementor. The Theme Options panel is designed to provide global settings for your website, such as typography, colors, header and footer configurations, and other layout preferences. However, when using Elementor, some of these settings may be overridden by the page builder, especially if specific elements or templates are edited directly within Elementor.

To determine whether a particular item is being controlled by Elementor, we recommend checking if the section or element has been edited using Elementor templates (such as Header, Footer, or Single Product templates). You can do this by navigating to Elementor > Templates > clicking All in your WordPress dashboard. If a template exists for a specific section, it will take precedence over the native Theme Options.

We understand that managing site-wide settings across different tools can be a bit challenging. If you need further assistance in identifying which settings are controlled by the theme and which by Elementor, please feel free to provide specific examples, and we’ll be happy to guide you accordingly.

    Warm Regards,
    The 8Theme Team
