    Dear Niraj,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We completely understand your concerns regarding your website’s speed and performance. After carefully reviewing the GTmetrix report you provided, we can confirm that there is indeed potential for further optimization to enhance loading times and overall site performance.

Please note that website speed is influenced by multiple factors, including server performance, theme optimization, the number and quality of installed plugins, image sizes, and any additional customizations. While our theme is designed with performance in mind, external factors can significantly affect the final results.

As you are planning to migrate to the WordPress.com Commerce plan, it is worth mentioning that WordPress.com offers a highly optimized hosting environment. This should contribute positively to your website’s speed, security, and overall stability compared to a standard cloud server.

Additionally, we recommend the following steps to further improve your website’s performance:

    – Optimize all images using a reliable image optimization plugin or service(e.g Smushit, Imagify, …).
    – Minimize the number of active plugins, ensuring that only lightweight and essential plugins are used.
    – Implement a caching solution to reduce server load and enhance loading times(e.g. WP Rocket, Litespeed Cache, …).
    – Utilize a Content Delivery Network (CDN) to deliver content more efficiently to users across different regions(https://www.wpbeginner.com/showcase/best-wordpress-cdn-services/).
    – Regularly update your theme, plugins, and the WordPress core to the latest versions to maintain optimal performance and security.

As an alternative, we highly recommend using the WP Rocket plugin, a powerful caching solution that many of our customers have found beneficial. You can find more information and optimization tips here:

Regarding your client’s suggestion to consider migrating to Shopify, please note that both WordPress and Shopify offer distinct advantages. WordPress provides greater flexibility and customization capabilities, while Shopify is a fully managed platform specifically tailored for eCommerce. If your primary focus is on speed, security, and minimal technical maintenance, Shopify could indeed be a suitable option. However, with proper optimization and a robust hosting environment, WordPress can also deliver excellent performance and security.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or require additional assistance during this transition. We are here to support you every step of the way.

    Best regards,
    The 8Theme Team
