We are very excited to be using the Legenda theme on our non-profit website but have found one issue with the conversion from our current theme to Legenda.

In our current theme, Construct, we have create a large number of portfolios with our missionaries to collect donations and connect with potential donors. When we installed the Legenda theme to our development (test) site we found that all of these portfolios do not appear in the WordPress back end although they exist in the database. From our research it seems that we need to install a plugin to convert the post type for these portfolios from a “portfolio” type to a “page” type, and then re-import these pages to our development site databse, is that correct? Is there a certain taxonomy used by the Legenda theme that we need to use in converting these pages so that they will be accessible in Legenda? Our end goal is to use the tools built into Legenda to pull all of these “portfolios” into a grid display on a page, you can see what I mean by checking out our current site with the Construct theme:

Any help is this area is greatly appreciated. We are hoping to get our new site up and running shortly but this seems to be a somewhat tricky obstacle to converting to the Legenda theme. We are so pumped to move to this amazing theme, looking forward to some help in getting there!

    Hello,

Please take our apologies but we can’t guarantee proper import of portfolio projects from other theme. You may try to convert them to pages and then import to our theme via Tools > Import in wp-admin panel. Other way is to recreate your projects with our Portfolio in wp-admin panel > Portfolio section.

    Thank you Eva.

We were actually able to easily change the taxonomy of the post type from portfolio to etheme_protfolio in our phpMyAdmin and then they became available in the back end of wordpress. Thanks for your help. God bless you.
