Topic: Change parent theme name from xstore to anything else

Hello,

I would like to ask,
Is there any way I can change the parent theme name from “xstore” to become an “Abdullah-Sakkijha”?
I didn’t notice that when I import a demo I can change the name of the parent theme.
So, can I do that after a while?

Hello,

You can re-name the child theme, but do not change the name of parent theme. Check this topic – https://www.8theme.com/topic/failed-to-update-the-update/ You can re-name the parent theme later when work on the site will be finished, but we won’t recommend it.

The work on the site has been finished.
But still, you don’t recommend changing the parent theme name, right?

Yes, we don’t recommend renaming the parent theme because you won’t be able to use auto-update in the future and need to update the theme manually
