Can not add product categories in main menu

I am trying to add the WooCommerce product categories as a dropdown do the shop page. However, the categories tab does not show the product categories I have added in the store but only shows two categories that I am not even using. How can I add the categories to the main menu or have them show up in the categories tab in appearance > menus .

Appearance > Menus > Screen Options > enable Product categories.
