    Hi,
We have launched a website using this theme and are experiencing some performance issues.
When we try and add an Item to a cart, the process does not complete.

I will give details in the Private Content section.

Would you mind confirming whether this is an issue with the theme or server?

Unfortunately, we have a very intermittent internet connection and am not entirely sure if this is the cause of the issue so if you cannot replicate this problem, I would appreciate it if you would let us know.

    Thanks as always!

    Hello,

I’ve disabled ajax “Add to cart” in Theme Options > Single Product Page > Ajax “Add To Cart” > Off.
    Please check your site now.
Also we recommend you to update the theme to the latest version as well as the required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello Eva,

Thank you for that, I was able to get as far as the Shopping Cart but unfortunately wasn’t able to complete the order as shown in the screenshot in the Private Content section.

Would you mind taking a look please?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Please update the theme and the plugins to the latest versions and check Checkout page after that.
Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before update.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello Eva,

Thanks for the advice as always.

Will updating the theme overwrite any additions that I’ve made on custom.css?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Custom.css file won’t be overwritten. If you didn’t make any modifications in original theme files you won’t lose any changes.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

OK, I have one good answer and one question.

The answer is that the process seems to complete fine when using the Firefox browser as opposed to Chrome which is a little strange.

The question that I have is to do with updating the theme.

Because of the security on the server, it seems that the only way that I can update the theme is by using FTP.

Is it OK to just upload the theme folder in the wp-content folder and replace the existing files?
I want to ensure that I don’t wipe anything out from the current theme e.g. Product Records, Sales etc. so any advice you could give would be very helpful.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

    You won’t remove anything.
We recommend you to create back up of your files and database before update.
You can watch our tutorial how to update the theme (it’s for Legenda theme but the process is identical):

    Thank you.
