How to Add Audio Files and Create Playlists in WordPress?

Do you want to add audio files to your WordPress site? As a content management system, WordPress allows you to process audio files by default. However, many beginners do not know about this default feature. In this article, we'll show you how to add audio files and create playlists from in free and premium WordPress themes.

Supported audio formats that can be used from any WordPress theme

WordPress uses the HTML5 audio tag to embed audio files. It is compatible with most modern browsers and works well on mobile devices. There is also a tag support of such audio formats as MP3, OGG and WAV.

Adding a single audio file in WordPress site

Adding a single audio file or a music track to full WordPress themes or separate post pages is not a big deal. Just click on the Add Media editing screen recording. Next you will see a pop-up window where you can select a media file. You need to click on the button "Upload file" to select and upload your audio file. After it is loaded, you will need to click the "Paste into account."
3(6) WordPress engine will add your audio file to the entry. If you are using WYSIWYG editor records, in this case, you can see the built-in recording file. If you are using a text editor, you will see the audio shortcode. You can edit an entry or save it and publish it. After publishing, you will be able to view your account, which you have built an audio file. This entry will look like this: Another simple way to add audio file to WordPress themes is to download the file in the media library. Then just copy the URL of the file and paste it in the visual editor. WordPress will automatically embed audio via URL. It reminds embedding video in WordPress; you simply insert the URL-address of a video from YouTube, WordPress and builds it.

Adding audio playlist in WordPress

As is the case with galleries of images, you can easily add audio playlists to your WordPress posts with the help of the media loader. Just click Add Media, to download your audio files.
After downloading the audio files you will need to select the files you want to include in the playlist. Then click on the link to Create New Playlist:
Now you can drag and drop songs to change their order in the playlist. You can also choose to display the track title, artist name and image. This information is embedded in the meta tags of your MP3 file IDT and automatically displayed in any place of your WordPress themes. Once you do this, just click Insert Audio Playlist. Your playlist will be added to your record, and you can view it in the visual editor. Now you can keep your account and view your playlist.
If an audio file that you have downloaded has built an image (album cover), then the image will be automatically extracted from WordPress. It will be stored in your media library and to be used in the case where the track is added to the created playlist.
