    Dear XStore Support Team,

We are experiencing serious website loading and performance issues after moving our WordPress website from a development folder to the live domain.

    Website Details:

    Previous Development URL: https://tarisequip.com/rak/

    Current Live URL: https://www.tarisequip.com

    Theme: XStore

    Page Builder: Elementor

    Issue Details:

Before Migration: The website was working perfectly with fast loading speeds inside the /rak/ folder.

After Migration: We moved all WordPress files from the /rak/ folder to the main public_html directory. Since then, the website has become extremely slow.

Loading Problems: Pages take a very long time to load, and sometimes the browser displays a “This site can’t be reached” error.

URL Replacement: We updated the website URLs using the Better Search Replace plugin and verified the WordPress Address and Site Address settings.

Missing Elements: Some SVG icons and website elements are not displaying properly after migration.

    Please Clarify and Assist:

Does moving the website from a subfolder to the main domain affect the XStore theme license or activation?

Do we need to deactivate and reactivate the existing license key?

Are there any XStore theme settings, configurations, or database updates required after moving the website?

Do we need to regenerate theme files, CSS, Elementor assets, or clear any specific XStore cache?

Could this issue be related to XStore theme configuration, and what steps should we take to resolve it?

Important: The website was loading very fast before migration. The performance issue started only after moving the files to the live URL.

Please review this issue and guide us on how to restore the website’s previous loading speed without affecting our existing design, content, or settings.

    Hello @Taris,

Firstly, we would like to inform you that your developer domain is no longer active as you have migrated the sources of your website directly into folders. As a result, we are unable to compare the loading times of both your websites.

Could you please let us know if you performed this migration manually or if you utilized assistance from your hosting provider to create a zip archive and backup of your content for migration? Manual renaming and reorganization could potentially lead to the use of outdated names, which might still make requests to the old website and slow it down.

Have you compared all the Elementor settings, elements manager widgets, plugins versions, cache settings, etc.?

Please note that the migration should be conducted according to the documentation provided by your hosting provider. Afterward, it is important to refresh the transients, clear the cache, and reload the Elementor cache files. We kindly suggest you to also submit your question to the hosting provider to assist you correct and assist you with refreshing the data on your live web-site.

    Best Regards,
    Jack Richardson
