Why are variation images being duplicated into separate attachment records (image.webp, image-1.webp, image-2.webp, etc.) instead of all size variations referencing the same attachment ID? Approximately 73% of our products and 85% of our variations show this behavior.
We analyzed 111 variable products. 104 of them create separate image attachment URLs for size variations (image.webp, image-1.webp, image-2.webp, etc.) instead of reusing a single attachment. Is this expected behavior of the XStore variation gallery? If so, is there a setting to reuse the same attachment ID across size variations?
Hello @Safe Desires,
Our theme does not include functionality to duplicate images, so this issue is likely related to WooCommerce or WordPress itself. At this time, we do not have any ready-made plugins or solutions to help remove duplicated images. However, if you find a useful tool or method, please share your results with us so that other customers may also benefit from your solution.

what would happen if I turned on the Single Product Customizer? Will it immediately disable the Elementor based pages? What are the drawbacks and advantages of using the customizer vs. Elementor?
Hello @Safe Desires,
If you are using the Single Product Builder based on the Customizer, the templates you created in Elementor can be removed or set to “none” in the conditions. If you are using the Elementor Single Product Builder, you can safely disable the Single Product Builder in the Customizer, as it only loads while Elementor hooks have higher priority for single product content.
The main difference is that the Customizer provides its own editor with limited widgets, which can still be useful for customers who wish to create templates with default Customizer functionality. The Elementor Single Product Builder, on the other hand, is fully based on Elementor and provides access to all available widgets for use in your templates.
Using both Single Product Builders at the same time is not recommended, as they both load actions and hooks, but only one will be effective on the frontend. Therefore, we kindly ask you to use only one of these builders.
You can find more details about the Elementor Single Product Builder in our documentation:
