Category Page Filters Disappeared from Left Sidebar

I have just done plugin updates this morning for Theme and Elementor and find the filters have disappeared from the left menu on the category pages.

‘Sort by Rating’ is the only one showing now. There should also be a ‘filter by price’ slider, a ‘Filter by Colour’ and a ‘Clear All Filters’ button.

Can you please let me know how to restore them. Thanks, Debbie

Thank you for your message.

Please try the following steps to restore the missing filters:
1. Go to Appearance > Widgets and check if the filter widgets are still assigned to the correct sidebar or shop filter area.
2. If they are missing, please re-add the Filter by Price and so on.
3. Clear your website and browser cache after saving the changes.
4. If you are using a caching or optimization plugin, temporarily disable it to check if it affects the filters’ display.
5. Ensure that your theme and all related plugins are updated to their latest versions.

If the issue persists after these steps, please provide us with temporary admin access so we can investigate further.

Hi, They seem to have been moved to ‘inactive widget’ section. How do I move them back to ‘active’ so they keep the same settings rather than try to re-add new ones, which I’m not sure how to do? Yes, everything is updated to latest versions.

Thanks, I have now moved the filters back to the sidebar, cleared the cache and CDN and all displaying correctly. However, the colour filter is not working. This is an issue I have had before, but I cannot find the original support ticket so cannot remember how it was fixed.

You can select one colour, but only one. If you try and select two colours or more it shows the error message ‘No products were found. Check your spelling or search again with less specific terms.

Can you let me know how to fix this please. Thanks.

Hi, I have cleared the caches (website & browser) and the CDN but am still seeing the same issue on all category pages. Filter by colour only works if one colour is selected. Selecting more than one colour is still giving the error message ‘no products found’.

Hello,

You are receiving the error message “Selecting more than one colour is still giving the error message ‘no products found’” because the filter is currently set to Query type – AND. This means that, for a product to be displayed, it must have both selected colours simultaneously. In this case, the filter is functioning correctly.

If you change the setting to OR, products that have at least one of the selected colours (not necessarily both) will be displayed.

We have also noticed a server error on your website. Please refer to the attached screenshots for more details.

Hi, Thanks. Everything working okay now. I have checked the site and cannot find any reason for the server error you saw. Hopefully it was just a temporary glitch or something but thank you for pointing it out. Debbie
