I have created a category under a ‘parent category’ to use as a sub under the main heading and added one product in it. However I don’t see an option to add it to the ‘main menu’. I checked in WC / Product Catalogue but it isn’t there.

Could you let me know how to do this please, add sub-categories under one of my Parent Categores on the main menu.

That wasn’t what I asked. Only main product categories show under ‘screen options’ and I already have Product Categories added to the menu.

I need to know how to add sub-categories which I have created under one of my Parent Categories on the main menu.

So I want it to show on the main site Menu as Main Category – ‘Suspender Belts’ with Sub-categories of ‘6 strap suspender belts, 8 strap suspender belts ect.

Can you please explain how to do this. Thanks

These are the steps I have taken (on my staging site):
Products/Categories – Made a New Category and Chosen the Parent Category as ‘Suspender Belts’.
Named the New Category ‘6 Strap Suspender Belts’.

This should now be a sub-category of the Main Category ‘Suspender Belts’.

I have added one product to this category.

The category is now there. With one product in.

All I need to do is get this sub-category to show under Menu Shop > Suspender Belt > 6 strap suspender belts. (Then I will add more sub-categories for 8 strap, 10 strap ect.)

Surely there must be an easy way to achieve this?

Alternatively, how can I set up a filter for ‘Number of Straps’ which I can add to the sidebar of the Category Page?

You won’t see any changes on the live site but the login details are attached.

    Hi,

You can see in the screenshot that I have created a sub-category ‘6 strap suspender belts’ which I have added under the Category ‘Suspender Belts’.

This should appear as a sub-category on the website under the Category ‘Suspender Belts’ – see https://prnt.sc/fhUUBItMyc2n

What do I have to do to make this appear correctly?

    Thanks, Debbie

    Hello,

    Thank you for your message.

We noticed that there are several menus created on your website (as shown here: https://gyazo.com/c6a0d5bf31a6e10c0b7a7cf87e0cb5d4 ), which is why we asked for clarification regarding which specific menu you would like us to check.

When we access the Header Builder, we see the following menu: https://prnt.sc/8ZhQpR5SIZN_ — however, this does not match the menu shown in your screenshot: https://prnt.sc/fCCjwqX7Eu19

To assist you accurately, could you please confirm the following:

    – What is the name of the menu shown in your screenshot? ( https://prnt.sc/7vZs1MZwYUWi )
    – Which website are you referring to?

Additionally, we kindly ask you to provide us with a direct link to the menu and the website where the screenshot was taken. Although you previously shared a link in the Private Content area, we are currently unable to locate the menu you are referring to on the site you provided.

Once we have this information, we will be happy to assist you further in resolving the issue with the sub-category display.

We’ve added the subcategory to the menu https://prnt.sc/EQKiMLKBZvLi and it works fine – https://gyazo.com/d80b9e835b42b602e365abb60c527c51

    Hi,

Yes, what you have done (creating the sub-category for 6 strap suspender belt) is what I was trying to do.

As I mentioned previously, the changes I made were on the staging site so you would not have seen this on the live site.

So how do i continue making the rest of the sub-categories (8 strap, 10 strap ect.) and adding them to the primary menu as you have done with the 6 strap.

    Thanks, Debbie

All good thanks 🙂 I’ve added the rest of the menus.

Just one more thing, you used to offer customization services but the link does not appear to work now. Are you still offering this service? I am looking to redesign the homepage as I have demo content from the original template I installed and I do not know how to change the layout.
