Filter products, categories and open status

    Hi! I’m a bit of a pain today, haha!

    When I modified the product filter, I noticed that not all product categories were displayed. It also doesn’t stay open even if I select the option.

    Unfortunately, I don’t see any changes. The shop sidebar (filters) still doesn’t show the product categories, and it’s not visible either 🙁

    Yes.
    For FTP access, we require the following details: FTP host, FTP username, FTP password, FTP port, and FTP encryption type. If you need assistance in creating these credentials, please reach out to your hosting provider who will guide you through the process.

    Good morning! Thanks for the effort!
    Unfortunately, I did some tests on https://toyah.es/shop and the filters are applied, but when you try to delete them (for example, if you want to apply the “white” filter), it doesn’t work. If you do it from “active filters,” pressing the “x” doesn’t work; and clicking on the color again doesn’t work either.

    We have resolved the issue. Now, the active widget should be deactivated when clicked in the “Active Filters” section. Kindly confirm that it is working as expected. Please also remember to clear your cache before testing.

    Good morning!

    I’ve reset the cache and updated the theme and plugins. Unfortunately, the filter still isn’t working properly because when you apply one of the filters, it’s not possible to clear or delete it.

    I tried clicking on the “active filters” square, on the “x,” and on the activated filter itself below (in this case, size M).

    By the way, isn’t it possible for the filters to activate automatically when you click on them?

    For example, in https://www.zara.com/es/es/man-origins-gallery-l16660.html?v1=2610130, when you click on each filter, the product list is reconfigured.

    Yes, such filter functionality is possible. To achieve this, you simply need to remove the “Apply all filters” widget from the corresponding area.

    Oh! I think something’s wrong… When I make the change as you indicated (thanks!), results aren’t shown when I enter the store; instead, I have to tap the filters. Is it possible that, like before, the products are shown, and then when I tap the filters, they appear/disappear?

    We have re-saved the WordPress permalinks and adjusted the WooCommerce page settings (see screenshot: https://prnt.sc/-zUZsww2jWXY). As a result, the products are now being displayed correctly (see screenshot: https://prnt.sc/umj8zlKJYtnD).

    Good morning, thanks for your effort! It seems the products are loading now, but I’ve noticed some differences that I’d appreciate your clarification so I can continue learning.

    1. The video that used to load as a featured image no longer does so (product “TOYAH Catch the Wave”).
    2. I really like the filter effect popping out of the screen, but I find it difficult to navigate. I’d like to know if it can be set to permanent once a filter is activated, and how to make it permanent again, as it was in the previous version.

    Kindly note that the option to display a video as the featured image is not available in the Elementor Archive Products Builder.     Thanks for the notes. I’ve already figured out and applied the inside/outside filter effect (it’s good to know where it is in case it’s useful sometime 🙂

    Regarding the video as a featured image, I can’t figure out why it works when recommending products, but not when viewing them in the store… Any ideas?

    The different widgets are based on different templates. For example, the “Recommended Products” widget uses the theme’s default product template. On the other hand, the “Elementor Products Grid/List/Carousel/Archive Products” widgets are built with a custom template, which offers a wide range of customization options that were not available in the previous template.

    Ah, okay! I understand, and maybe I didn’t express myself well. What I’m referring to is that before these latest changes, a colleague implemented a feature on my website where, when uploading a video, it would be displayed instead of the featured image. I understand that’s why it’s visible in cross-selling.

    Is it possible that this customization was lost when updating the theme?

    If customizations are made directly within the parent XStore theme or the XStore Core plugin files, they will be overwritten during updates. To ensure that your modifications are preserved after updates, we recommend implementing them in a child theme or by using a code snippets plugin.

    Of course, life is all about learning and learning… Unfortunately, those improvements your team made are beyond my reach. Would it be possible for you to recover that code and implement it alongside the one you already created for the video loop?

    Please rest assured that the changes we previously made have not been lost. It appears that we recently implemented another improvement related to the placeholder on the Single Product page. However, your current request concerns the display of videos on your Shop page across products.
