    I am setting up my store and running many instances where the options in the Theme Builder simply does not change anything.

    Layout of shop, single product page, breadcrumbs. I can almost list more things that do nothing than the things that work. I have built a few stores in WP using Elementor before, so I can make all the changes I need in Elementor and create new templates. But with so many options nicely organized, I was hoping it would be easier to click and see changes live in the various areas in the Theme Options

    I added a few options showing nothing changes when I change e.g. layout in the shop. I have now added some new sample products, but this was the same issues when I first started changing things in the shop page. Nothing happened for a lot of the buttons.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks.

    Hello,

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    1/ Your site is under maintenance mode, so we can’t check it.
    https://prnt.sc/I98D0uHNzhfzhttps://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/woocommerce/great-things-are-on-the-horizon-or-site-visibility-from-woocommerce-plugin/

    2/ There are two header builders available, and you can choose the one that best suits your preferences:
    – Header Builder in Theme Options (old one) – https://youtu.be/RbdKjQrFnO4?feature=shared
    – Header Builder with Elementor – https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/xstore-builders/new-xstore-header-builder-with-elementor/

    If you have 2 builders activated, the settings from the new one (Elementor) will have higher priority.

    In your case, the settings from the new Elementor Header Builder work.

    The same for Single Product Builder and Shop page (Archive products builder) – https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/xstore-builders/xstore-single-product-builder-with-elementor/ https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/xstore-builders/xstore-products-archive-builder-with-elementor/

    Warm Regards,

    I have now opened up the page.

    Ok so what is the point of all these menues in the native Theme Options many of them do not work?
    And how do I know if an item is being controlled by Elementor some other place?

    I understand making new pages and editing templates. It is more the site wide settings and various options I struggle finding in other locations than in the theme options.

    Hello,

    We appreciate your prompt response.

    1/ Header: Go to XStore Builders > Header Builder with Elementor > edit template (the header builder in Theme Options can be disabled or simply ignored)
    2/ Footer: XStore Builders > Footer > edit temmplate
    3/ Single product layout: XStore Builders > Single Product Builder > edit template

    We appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns regarding the Theme Options and how they interact with Elementor. The Theme Options panel is designed to provide global settings for your website, such as typography, colors, header and footer configurations, and other layout preferences. However, when using Elementor, some of these settings may be overridden by the page builder, especially if specific elements or templates are edited directly within Elementor.

    To determine whether a particular item is being controlled by Elementor, we recommend checking if the section or element has been edited using Elementor templates (such as Header, Footer, or Single Product templates). You can do this by navigating to Elementor > Templates > clicking All in your WordPress dashboard. If a template exists for a specific section, it will take precedence over the native Theme Options.

    We understand that managing site-wide settings across different tools can be a bit challenging. If you need further assistance in identifying which settings are controlled by the theme and which by Elementor, please feel free to provide specific examples, and we’ll be happy to guide you accordingly.

    Ok.

    Next problem which I have attempted all kinds of solution with AI as help, but still does not work.

    Add to cart button. Either I pick the simple one that does work, or I pick the more advanced add to cart/Buy now button which gives med the variants (swatches), but then the button disappeares. I have checked price, variations, updated plugins, checked files in File Manager.

    https://hexsa.no/product/deodorant-pit-spray

    Here you see variants but no button. If I add the simple button from either xstore or the default one, the button works, but no variant option.

    What do I do?

    Hello,

    We appreciate your prompt response.

    We’ve disabled Catalog mode (this option prevents customers from purchasing products) in Theme Options > Shop > Catalog mode. Please clear cache and check the result.

    Great, that worked.

    Do you know how to:
    1) Left align the variations (see attached image)
    2) Remove the “From kr 150” at the top
    3) Remove “In stock” notification when added to cart

    I have asked chatgpt, but hard to navigate when most items in the Xstore does not responds and elementor does not have the option to alter it.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    1/ XStore Builders > Single Product Builder > edit template > https://prnt.sc/sC_GzvNlL8qx > https://prnt.sc/iHhcPzE_sQzf

    2/ This option can be disabled – https://prnt.sc/TvsOpBx9Osxb , or you can remove the price element at all via the Single Product Builder

    3/ Woocommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory > Stock display format

    1) It was on vertical design, but turned it off and on again and then it worked. Thank you.

    2) It removed “from price” from shop page, which is good. But if I change it it only turns it into a “min-max” price on the product page. I would like it removed all together. (See attached)

    3) I have set the Stock display format to “Never show….” but it still comes up when I add to cart. (See attached)

    4) I have set the Quantity Style to None, but the quantity stil shows up on the product page. How do I remove it? (See attached)

    Dear @Tarje,

    We hope this message finds you well.

    1. Could you kindly confirm whether you would like to remove the price range displayed below the product title, as shown in the following screenshot: https://prnt.sc/wtaAhp-ZA1q7?

    If so, please add the following custom CSS code by navigating to XStore > Theme Options > Theme Custom CSS > Global CSS:

    .product-type-variable .elementor-widget-woocommerce-product-etheme_price {
        display: none;
    }

    2. To hide the product stock information, please use the CSS code below:

    .woocommerce-variation.single_variation p.et_stock {
        display: none;
    }

    3. If you wish to remove the arrows from number input fields, kindly add the following CSS:

    /* Chrome, Safari, Edge, Opera */
    .quantity .quantity-wrapper input.input-text::-webkit-outer-spin-button,
    .quantity .quantity-wrapper input.input-text::-webkit-inner-spin-button {
        -webkit-appearance: none;
        margin: 0;
    }

    /* Firefox */
    .quantity .quantity-wrapper input.input-text[type=number] {
        -moz-appearance: textfield;
    }

    Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

    The 2 first code worked. Thanks.

    No, I do not want the arrows gone. I want the whole quantity box and number gone. I just want to see “Add to cart” button, nothing else.

    Looks good. How did you do it if I want to control it myself in the future?

    And will all these bugs be fixed so it is possible to control all these things in the future myself without CSS or support?

    Dear @Tarje,

    We’ve added this custom CSS code to the add to cart/buy now element:

    selector .quantity {
        display: none !important;
    }

    Thank you.

    1) I am having issues removing the 1) quantity and 2) cart logo in the quick view and 3) stock warning. Is this possible?

    2) When I try to open cart (or perhaps it is a quick view of cart) it just shows a small strip of grey box to the right. Seems broken.

    3) I have disabled wishlist and compare in the mobile menu, but they still appear in the live page.

    4) I am trying to change “added to cart” notification, but it does not seem to do anything. I also would like to change the green color the bar has now, but that is also hard to find an option for.

    5) I am trying to customize the size of the cookie warning box, but the custom option does not work or do anything when I try to alter the pixels.

    I will stop there for now.

    I have added screenshots for most of the issues. I hope they all uploaded fine.

    Thanks

    Dear @Tarje,

    We hope this message finds you well.

    1. To remove the stock status from the quick view, please add the following custom CSS code to your site:

    .et-quick-view-canvas p.et_stock {
        display: none;
    }

    2. We have resolved the issue related to the shopping cart icon.

    3. The Wishlist and Compare features have been disabled in the mobile menu as per your request.

    4. Currently, when a product is added to the cart, the off-canvas (quick cart) panel from the header will automatically open.

    5. We will double-check the relevant settings. In the meantime, you can enforce the width of the cookie popup by applying the following custom CSS:

    body .et-cookies-popup-wrapper {
        max-width: 500px;
    }

    Should you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

    Best regards,
    The 8Theme Team
