Hi,
Yes all good now thank you.

Hi,
Yes all good now thank you.
Debbie
Hi,
No its still not working correctly. Please see attached file. in ‘Suspender Belts’ category selecting the two colours ‘teal’ and ‘purple’ shows no search results. Choosing purple on its own is fine, choosing teal on its own is fine. Choosing both colours shows nothing. Please try this combination so you can see what i mean.
The login details for tiffanyhart.co.uk are attached.
Thanks, Debbie
Hi,
On Swanky Pins the colour filters seem to be working on most categories but not ‘Suspender Belts’. This is the one I was testing on as this is our most popular category.
I copied the search in your video and found that yes, the filters on the other category pages are fine.
Is is not a sitewide setting, why is only one category not working correctly? please let me know how I can correct the multi-filter on that one category that is not working.
It used to be okay, only recently this problem has occured so must have been set correctly in the past, I have not changed anything.
Regarding Tiffanyhart.co.uk, please let me know where I change the dropdown setting to ‘multi’ (which is must have been before this started happening). On that site, the colour filters do not work on any of the category pages.
Thanks, Debbie
In the first part of the video (swankypins), you did not check this on the category pages (which is where the problem lies). You looked at ‘shop’ page, the error is not on there. The title of my query was ‘Filters on category pages no longer work correctly’
On the second part of the video (on the tiffanyhart website), you have clearly demonstrated exactly what I am saying – that only ONE colour filter can be active at any one time.
You selected ‘RED’, it showed the red products. Then you selected GOLD and the red products disappeared with only GOLD displaying.
My point is that TWO colours (or more) should be able to be selected at any time with ALL products in those colours showing in the results.
This is dragging on now with no fix in sight. I have explained the problem, and sent you screenshots of the problem.
I looked at awesomescreenshot.com but its a paid application. I have explained the problem clearly enough not to have to download apps for a video. In FILTERS/COLOUR – Only ONE can be selected at any time – on both websites.
Hi,
This is no browser caching error. All my sites are tested in ‘private browsing’ on Edge, no pages are ever held in cache so there are no cached pages. Error also shows in Chrome/private and Firefox.
Each site has a different caching plugin and the other so I feel it is unlikely that both are causing an error. Each time any plugin or theme is updated, the cache is cleared and so is the CDN cache.
Again, I attach two images showing the colour filters not working correctly. Screenshot https://prnt.sc/q-GB7dfmRmUF shows two colours selected (shows in ‘active filters’ in the the left column and in the URL), yet only product in ‘Gold’ displays. This was the second colour added to the filter. The first colour that was selected was turquoise but those products were replaced once gold was selected.
The second screenshot https://prnt.sc/OZzFmjItdMwE shows the other site, where all the colour options disappear once a colour is selected so customers cannot choose to look at more than one colour at a time.
Both sites colour filters used to work absolutely fine now customers are restricted to viewing one colour at a time in any category. This isn’t right.
Please can you check again. Thanks, Debbie
Hi, I do not know how to record a video and upload it here, but you can see a screenshot here https://prnt.sc/HR4gHn_fYsho
As you can see, 4 colours are selected using the filter on the category page, but only one colour (red) is working so only red products are displayed.
I have two sites with this same problem as i said (swankypins.co.uk and tiffanyhart.co.uk) Both run Xstore but have different plugins so it would be strange if a plugin was at fault. Disabling them doesn’t make a difference. Obviously I cannot leave any plugins disabled on the site as it would not work properly.
The filters worked perfectly well up until recently.
Can you please look at this, thanks Debbie
Hi,
I have cleared the cache and the CDN and both pages are now displaying the Klarna payments info so thank you for sorting that out.
Can you let me know though, if the javascript optimisation being disabled will make my website slower or anything?
Thanks, Debbie
Hi,
I don’t understand how you are seeing it. I can only see it displayed when using Chrome (while logged into my admin panel), the same page on a Chrome Incognito page does not display the Klarna box. I have tried Edge, Firefox and Mobile and it does not display on any of them. I have also cleared the website cache & CDN.
The code was generated through the Klarna plugin so I don’t have ‘custom code’. It is all still set up and activated as it was before I updated the Theme, no changes have been made.
Please let me know what I can do next. Thanks, Debbie
Hi,
I did contact WC help/support but as the Google Pay button is working on Cart and Checkout pages, they say it is more likely to be a Theme problem (they are still looking into it).
I have also been contacted by another Xstore site owner who is experiencing exactly the same. He also contacted WC support and was redirected by them back to you. An example page from his site is:
https://mattsbasementarcade.com/product/congo-pinball-cpu-rom-2-1-g11u6-bally-williams-eprom/ where you can see his product page looks like mine.
He also tells me that the same problem occurs with Apple Pay on Safari. I don’t have an Apple Pay account so was unable to see this.
I reported this same problem back in August 22 after that update but at the time it was fixed because it has been working since.
Could you please look at this again (using Chrome & Safari whilst logged into an account) as it makes the product pages look really messy.
Thanks, Debbie
Hi,
It is only happening when logged into a Google account on Chrome. If I log out, it doesn’t happen. So anyone who has ‘Google Pay’ on their phone or desktop will see this. Can you try again whilst logged into a Google account? Thanks, Debbie
All done, thanks
Okay, I downloaded the latest version, then uploaded js_composer via FTP after renaming the old file to js_composer-BACK.
Now in ‘Plugins Installer’ I am being told to activate the new version 6.13.0 but getting the following error –
Oops it looks something went wrong. Please check your system requirements first. In case it will happened again, please, contact us 8theme.com
I’ve now had to remove the update files from the plugins directory and revert back to the older version 6.11.0. There is now no ‘update’ available in the plugins installer for WPBakery.
I haven’t even attempted the Slider revolution. What do I do now? Thanks, Debbie
Hi,
That’s better. Thanks, Debbie
Hi,
Okay thanks, hot label is now removed.
I attach wp-admin/ftp details.
Debbie
Hi,
The Ajax Product Filter ‘scroll to top’ was already activated, but it is still loading from the bottom. In ‘admin’ it loads correctly from the top, but the live site loads from the bottom.
For the ‘hot’ label, I read the article but do not understand what it means by ‘Show the “Hot” label on featured products you may set from the admin dashboard.’ I cannot see any options for this in admin dashboard.
I do not have the plugin mentioned so please can you explain where I go to remove this label. Thanks, Debbie
I’ve been through my support messages, so in case you didn’t get it from Siteground, this is the code you need to add to your functions.php file:
add_filter( ‘sgo_js_minify_exclude’, ‘js_minify_exclude’ );
function js_minify_exclude( $exclude_list ) {
$exclude_list[] = ‘ppcp-smart-button’;
return $exclude_list;
}
Then you can re-activate SG Optimizer and it should be okay.
Debbie
Siteground tech support gave me a code to put in which enabled me to enable the SG Optimizer and have all the JS minimize setttings activated. I can’t remember the code but if you contact them they will give it to you. All works fine now. Debbie
Hi,
I did say in my email that it needs a login, which i provided in the private content area so you can see exactly what the problems are.
This is a staging site, so access has been password protected. Please see again the details attached.
Hi,
Last night I disabled the Siteground plugin as you suggested. I think your developers checked after i had done that which is why they saw it working.
You were right, it was the minify javascript within that plugin that was causing the problem. I have now enabled the plugin in again but disabled the minify javascript and updated the Theme on the live site and as far as I can see the checkout is working fine.
i wonder if you could just please check again the live site checkout in case I am looking at anything that may be cached. If you see it working then all is fine. I have notified Siteground as I need this plugin, it’s part of my hosting and hopefully they can work in a fix on their next update.
Thank you for all your help with this. Debbie
I now have a number of failed orders for today, i can’t leave the site like this and don’t know what to do about it
Are you logged in on another page though? If I am logged in on another page on the same browser I can see checkout works okay, but for a site visitor who hasn’t got an account to log in, they see a broken checkout.
I do not know how to record a video but there are two screenshots here –
1. The way it should look – https://prnt.sc/4OvB4RrRFAmT – I’ve cut the middle bit out so it’s not so long a page, but you can see the amazon button at the top and the credit card boxes. This can ONLY be seen by logged in users.
2. How customers / non-logged in users are seeing it now – https://prnt.sc/uLDduLnsRaki – the credit card boxes are not there, but there is a button + text saying ‘use new payment method’ which doesn’t do anything and should not be there.
I had a failed order just now which was ‘Paypal’. The Paypal buttons seem to have disappeared and on checking, using the Paypal option gives an error of ‘Could not retrieve order’. Basically then, i cannot take any payments at all.
I attach the FTP details here
The second screenshot https://prnt.sc/zA4VH5kz7y_5 is broken, I can’t see it.
Yes, Swankypins.co.uk was okay, however I have just had a ‘failed order’ come through and on checking, this too is now showing the same checkout error.
All Caches are cleared yet I still see the same incorrect checkout. We also have the same problem on our other site – slightly different because no credit card boxes appear at all.
Yesterday, when i thought it was due to WC Payments plugin, we had Woocommerce support working on the problem. They also could see both sites with broken checkouts but after it worked with Storefront theme they said it was a theme problem.
I don’t know what is happening here. I’ve tried in different browsers, on mobile, all caches cleared but I’ve still got 2 sites that have broken checkouts. I am checking everything as un logged in user so i can see what site visitors see.
I presume you are looking at the live site? As I said, that is working fine because I used a backup from 2 days ago BEFORE I updated the Theme.
Here again is the screenshot of how the checkout looks AFTER theme update (as can be seen on the staging site that I gave you login details for – https://prnt.sc/tQB0TRLwf-ba
Yes, I attach details for the staging site. It is password protected so there are logins for the site and the admin centre.
The staging site has all been updated to latest versions of everything including Xstore.
Live site has been rolled back to previous Theme version (but all plugins incl. WC and WC Payments) have been updated.
Thanks, Debbie
Ok I will add your email to search console but I didn’t realise that maintenance mode will put the whole site offline. I cannot do that, it may take me at least a few hours to get it right. i will have to leave this project until i have more time to set up a staging site to work on.
There is no screenshot I can provide really as I am not sure what exactly the problem is to screenshot.
This is the warning I got from Google Search Console
AMP issues detected on https://www.swankypins.co.uk/
The following warnings were found on your site:
An HTML tag contains the same attribute repeated multiple times.
As Google does not give any clues about the Tag causing the problems, it is very difficult to see what the problem causing the validation error is.
Now I have ‘fixed’ it by removing the plugin and asking Google to rescan the affected pages, on checking this morning there are no more errors. I do want to use the plugin though as my site is slow on mobile but I will probably get this same problem again if I activate it. Have you not heard of this problem before?
Please let me know where is the maintenance mode in the plugin so I can set it up in my own time. Thanks, Debbie
Hi, Okay it seems i cannot change editor but do you have an update for WPBakery? In WordPress it says that the theme owners have to push the update to me as I cannot update it myself unless I pay for a direct licence.
Thanks, Debbie
Tried to download recordit but it won’t open so I don’t know how to do a video. However, I have checked on another computer and other browsers and this problem does not show elsewhere. I use Chrome and the problem only seems to be on here, so it is a browser issue, not theme issue.
Hi,
I have checked again this morning and the left/right scrolling arrow for images on the product pages is still not working.
I added this product – https://www.swankypins.co.uk/product/luxury-hold-up-stockings-20-40-den-ballerina-449/
and the second / larger image doesn’t enlarge properly when clicked, it just gets a grey overlay and the side arrows are not scrolling through the images.
I then checked a couple of other products and the same thing is happening. When the main image is clicked on, it doesn’t display the larger image and you cannot use the left/right arrows to scroll through all the images on the product. Debbie
Hi,
Yes, the images look a lot neater now showing all the same size.
Thank you very much for your help. Debbie
