Youtube video not able to add to media carousal – Select video is not working to insert

Youtube video not able to add to media carousal –

Select Item > Choose video > Insert media/URL pop up shows > Enter Youtbe url > Video shows up > Try selecting video and click inert to post > Selection wont work

To add videos to the media carousel element, you must upload the video to your site under the media section. Once the video is uploaded, it will be available for use.

We regret to inform you that it is not possible to use YouTube links in the Media Carousel element. If you would like to add this functionality, please contact our development team by submitting a feature request at https://www.8theme.com/taskboard/

If it doesn’t allow it, then why it shows an insert URL and shows a video snippet to insert to post? Either way, it is a bug, not a new feature request

Also, I added the video by uploading it. Video shows. However, that doesn’t have the option to show a thumbnail image. There is no option to choose. Thats odd.

Either item should have option by adding an image/ or choosing from the video.

Now, i enabled light box, these are vertical videos, However, the lightbox crops video and shows in horizontal. Can you please tell me how to make that lighbox play the video properly rather than cropping it.

If it doesn’t allow it, then why it shows an insert URL and shows a video snippet to insert to post? Either way, it is a bug, not a new feature request – the option is there because it is the default one for video, but it can’t work for this element, and can’t be removed, unfortunately, so you faced this misunderstanding. Sorry, for the inconvenience, there is no option to change this right now.

Ok, Lightbox, I have set it with all the options that are available. Still, it’s not showing in full.

Can you please simply allow it to auto-adjust? I don’t why it’s behaving so weirdly.

There is no solution for making it autosize because we inherit the same options that are available for Elementor video widget ( https://prnt.sc/9QkFg6SXl-2G ) and that aspect ratio value is sent to elementor popup → https://prnt.sc/OXpSEhGI3Zs3

You can test how the video works with the default Video widget and we are sure you will have the same result, in such a case we can recommend you contact Elementor plugin support for solving the autosize popup by Elementor https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/elementor/
