I have outdated woocommerce files in Legenda

Can i just download the latest Legenda 2.8 and ONLY upload the outdated files or do I have to reinstall the ENTIRE template?

If the later, will the re-intallation keep my settings and custom-css or will I have to make note of those changes and copy the custom-css and copy it back in?

Please let me know what I exactly need to do.

Would appreciate a reply ASAP.

Also, ever since the notice appeared, my customers cannot register for a new account. So, I need this resolved rather quickly. Thank you!

Is this all that needs to be done? Can anyone confirm?

Copy over the templates from the WooCommerce templates directory into the woocommerce directory in your theme. You only have to copy over the outdated templates you don’t have to copy over the entire folder. Does that make sense?

Before update please remove WooCommerce folder in theme folder (/wp-content/themes/legenda/woocommerce).

Also don’t forget to make backup site before update theme.

You can download the latest plugins versions at this link https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ ,
enter your purchase code of the theme to get the plugins.

Won’t deleting “/wp-content/themes/legenda/woocommerce” affect my WooCommerce site and its settings? My website is a store. I cannot remove woocommerce. I don’t understand.

Is this what I need to do?

1. Download latest version of Legenda theme. Unzip and open folder.
2. Open FTP and locate Legenda theme. Open folder.
3. Overwrite all the files EXCEPT for the woocommerce folder into the Legenda folder on the FTP.

That way the woocommerce folder, with the newest core files are not overwritten. Will this be suitable and not affect the layout and settings of woocommerce?

Also, I have made changes to custom-css file. I assume I need to copy the old file and re-paste what I wrote into the new css file after I have made the upgrade?

Hello,

You won’t remove “woocommerce” folder in wp-content/plugins directory , but you should remove it in wp-content/themes/legenda directory, so your settings won’t be lost.
Did you make any changes in the directory wp-content/themes/legenda/woocommerce?

The reason you need to remove “woocommerce” folder is because some files were removed the latest version but you’ll still have them if you just overwrite the folder, that’s why we recommend to delete it and reupload new “woocommerce” folder from the theme package.
If you have difficulties with it, provide us with FTP credentials.
Confirm you didn’t make any changes in wp-content/themes/legenda/woocommerce directory.

My WooCommerce files are OK now BUT I need the newest Legenda theme update because my product images are missing from the front-end.

Can you update the template without disturbing woocommerce settings? I don’t understand how to do that. I have custom-css code in the Legenda template but that’s all.
