    Hi
I am having an issue with the Xstore theme causing the max_exec_time to be 0.
I have checked with the host and this is not the case on the server’s settings.

I switched the theme to a default WordPress theme as part of troubleshooting and this fixed the issue, which leads me to believe that it is somewhere within Xstore.

I have tried to update everything to the latest version but this results in a critical error, and due to the large size of the site restoring this to a backup is a slow process, which means a long time without the site being accessible.

The store management method requires the max_exec_time to not be 0, 300 would be preferable.

    Many thanks

I have continued to see if I could solve the problem and have found that the Xstore plugin is what is the cause of the problem. When deactivating this it stops the max_execution time being 0

Is there a way to repair the code in it that is causing the readout error?

    Hello,

XStore core plugin just check the requirements, so when you disable it you just disable this checking.
Anyway, I looked at the WooCommerce plugin status page and see the same http://prntscr.com/w8n3fz WooCommerce also displays 0 and server info displays NA http://prntscr.com/w8n4zo So, contact your hosting provider to solve this because it’s not theme issue.

Also, you use out of date version of XStore theme, WooCommerce plugin, revolution slider plugin and WPBakery. We would recommend you to provide us with FTP access to your site and we’ll help you with updates of these plugins and theme.

    Regards

    Hiya
As shown in the phpinfo.php the max_exec_time of the server is actually set at 300, but WordPress, WooCommerce and Xstore don’t seem to bring that through to their information.

Previous attempts at updating all the elements of the site caused a critical error. But any help would be gratefully received.

I have a backup of all files other than the uploads folder (as this is too big to back up)

    Kind regards

I have made a test site to see if I could do the updates, but the child theme changes are not compatible with the new version of Xstore.

Is there any way that this can be fixed without doing the updates?

    Hello,

I have updated theme and bundled plugins to the latest version.
Unfortunately, we can’t help you with the limit warning that you have because this is something that your hosting provider should fix. Theme author does not change the server settings. If WP, WooCommerce, and theme do not recognize the limit you have it means that something is wrong from the server-side. Anyway, if you don’t face any problems while using your site then you could just ignore that. We check that limit to be sure that the user imports demo content correctly because the import process requires more time than the default one.

    Regards
