Hi
I have come across a weird bug when using Yoast with XStore.
If I add a Visual Composer Row. Add the element [8Theme] Products, and set the Display Type to Grid…
When I then click Update to save the page, I am taken to the URL:
https://www.mydomain.com/wp-admin/post.php
But the screen goes white and doesn;t load the page again. I then have to click the back button. This always happens when the Display Type is Grid. When I change the display Type to Slider, the page updates as it should.
I disabled the plugins one by one and found that it does update when Yoast is disabled. There seems to be some odd conflict with this particular Visual Composer element with that particular display setting (Grid) that gives me a white screen of death when saving (Update) the page.
Please, can the dev/support team investigate, see if you can replicate this your end and if so provide a fix?
The theme demo I am testing offline is the Glasses theme demo variant of XStore. I was able to replicate on my online server also on a live site.
Regards
One more thing… if I make the page ‘Private’ I am able to save normally, but when I switch back to ‘Public’ setting, I get the white screen again when I click the update button. This only happens when Yoast is installed and the Visual Composer element [8Theme] Products, is set Display Type to Grid.
Hello,
Checked our test installations and did not face this issue. Maybe some Yoast settings affect the saving. Could you, please, provide me admin panel and FTP access to your site to check?
Regards
Sorry, this is on my offline testing site. When you introduced limits to theme installation keys, I can no longer provide you with an online password protected testbed on my server, as I reached maximum installs with my key. At some point in future will introduce a test page online.
Ok. Let us know the details in future and we’ll check the problem.
