    Hello

XStore Freelance – Slider Revolution hangs when saving after changing the name on slide 1. I’ve included login details in the private content area.

Please confirm if this problem is duplicated on your own site, or is this only on mine.

    Regards
    Robert

    Hello Olga

I’ve uploaded an unlisted video. Please see the private content area for the video link.

At the point that I click “save” in the video, nothing else happens. It just freezes on the Saving Slide notification.

    Hello,

Could you, please, provide server error logs? It looks that something blocks Ajax’s request. Server error log helps to understand what exactly.

    Regards

    Hi Olga

I’m running DirectAdmin on the server, with Apache, php 8 on that particular account and Modsecurity with Comodo Web Application Firewall (CWAF), and ConfigServer Security & Firewall (csf).

Here is the error log for the account on that server. I am pasting it into the Private content area.

From the log, I can’t work out if it’s telling me that there is insufficient memory. One line, in particular, suggests that to me:

[data "Request body no files data length is larger than the configured limit (131072)."] [severity "CRITICAL"] [tag "CWAF"] [tag "Protocol"] [hostname "mydomain.com"] [uri "/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php"] [unique_id "YR0osBgZ-CS468QuHyHKDQAAywI"], referer: https://mydomain.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=revslider&view=slide&id=36

If the account on the server requires more memory I can do that. I’m not having an issue with other accounts on the server running Rev Slider, but it may be because the demo has all its content in a slideshow. If this is a problem, I may not use that demo after all, especially if it is causing a drain on server resources.

    Hello,

Contact your hosting provider and ask to take a look at this error and increase the limit for SecRequestBodyNoFilesLimit in mod security.

    Thanks Olga

I am the hosting provider, in that I manage my own servers. I will check mod security rules on the server. DirectAdmin allows me to alter rules for each domain account on the server. I have a few other tasks to perform now, but I will get back to you after I have looked at that.

    Thanks
    Robert

    Hello Olga

I altered the modsecurity.conf file and doubled the default setting to

    SecRequestBodyNoFilesLimit 262144

    … then rebooted server.

Afterwards, I just tried saving the Revolution Slider slide and it saved fine without hanging, so it is working now.

Thank you for your suggestion. It worked. I will close this ticket now.

    Best regards
    Robert
