Xstore core plugin requires latest Xstore theme and crash webpage until update

Hi,
Each time a update of Xstore theme is released my site crashes until i have updated the theme. That is a problem since updates come on a regular basis and i can not have my site crashing each time. It also takes some time until i the theme update is available. Right now i am running on 6.0.2 and 6.1 is required for the webpage to function correct, but i can not find any update links? Please advice.

Hello,

Go to Dashboard > Updates > press check again button to check the themes and plugins update. After this, you’ll get the notification about theme update. Keep in mind that if you want to use XStore 6.1 then XStore core plugin should be 1.4.
Also, you can update theme manually via FTP using archive from ThemeForest (Downloads area of your ThemeForest account).

Hi Olga,

Thank you for the reply. That will fix it for now. But does that mean that it is normal procedure that the website crashes each time a update is done to the theme until you manually update to the latest version?

Hello,

Don’t update XStore core plugin without theme update and you won’t face problems. If you see the core plugin update notice then theme version also should be updated.

Hello,
The Xstore core plugin continues to update automatically and thus crashing the site until update. Is there a way of preventing the Xstore plugin to not update automatically?

Hello,

The auto-update is not enabled by default, manual confirmation is required, for example http://prntscr.com/pyiamx . Do you have any additional plugin or custom code that enables auto-update without confirmation by admin user https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-enable-automatic-updates-for-wordpress-plugins/ ?
