XStore changing to new header, but i have 4 rows with a top bar

Hi

On one of my XStore sites, I have held back from changing to the new style header format. I originally imported Electron 2 demo for this particular site and made some changes to the header including enabling the top bar. So in effect, the old-style header had a top bar, a row with the logo, search and icons, then below that a row with a full-width menu, and below that the news ticker.

Now when updating the other sites to the new header format, it seems like I only had three rows to drag items into. With three rows on Electron 2 style header, I will have to lose either the top bar I added or the news ticker. Is there a way around this?

I’ve just updated the theme from I think 5.5.1 to 6.2.9, and updated core and ensured all required plugins are up to date. With my other sites, I did not have this big jump to 6.2.9 and was updating incrementally with those. With this site, I tried to enable header builder and it came up with errors in the header style section, something like 15 settings unknown.

I went back to the WP dashboard and tried to go back into theme options again, but it just hangs loading with the loading icon with no errors. Site broken.

Should I go back and update from 5.5.1 to 6.1 and then afterwards jump to 6.2.9? like the other sites I updated?

Hello,

We’ll add option to choose the displaying of the Header banner widget area (before header or after) if user uses the header builder in the next update. It will solve your problem, right?

My issue in my second post is solved when I deactivate a plugin called “Epic News Elements”, which was making the customiser hang. I will create the header I need and afterwards re-activate Epic News Elements plugin.

I’ll also wait for the next theme update to add teh news ticker below.
