    Hey,

ive just purchased and installed WPML, and something just seems to not be right…

first off I didnt get the initial setup screen that your supposed to have with WPML,

and secondly it doesnt seem to be recognizing the English language of the theme, it says the content is inactive.

    message I get:
In order to edit or delete these you need to activate the corresponding language first.

but I cant activate it because in the menu where you have the check boxes for all the languages english is greyed out…

    Thanks,
    Jeff

I have read over and over the 2 documentation files that Robert has provided before asking for support.

I have also tried the remove ghost entries in the link that Eva has supplied. It has not worked. I cannot do step 2 of that proposed method because my pages are only available in 1 language which is english which happen to be inactive, and if I delete them, then I lose all my pages I have created which is not where im trying to go.

Ok so I had to go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting and then at the very bottom reset and de-activate

then went to the plugins page deleted the plugin and deleted all files. I then re-uploaded the plugin and this time it prompted me with the correct initial start-up configuration settings.

    Thank you for your time.

    Jeff
