I have done some tests with wordpress 5.0.1 on a staging site and the theme seems to be working fine. What are your results?

Should I update?

Hello,

You can do the update because we did not find critical errors, but we would recommend using WPBakery page builder as the page editor because it’s more advanced than Gutenberg at this moment. To be able to edit pages using WPBakery page builder https://prnt.sc/ltwb5l you need to update the plugin to the latest version via FTP https://www.8theme.com/downloads/ https://www.8theme.com/faq/ (How to update plugins included in theme?).

Hi Rose,

I have upgraded to wordpress 5.0.1 and now 5.0.2 and have problems with missing featured images in the posts, I also cannot add them because the upload image function under the drop down featured image menu does not appear, have you any ideas what could be the issue?

Hello,

Please update the theme to the latest version (4.5.3). If you made changes in template files, transfer them into child theme https://www.8theme.com/downloads/
If this doesn’t help, try to disable 3rd party plugins and check if one of the plugins causes the problem.
Also, activate on site a WordPress default theme like Twenty Seventeen and check if the problem persists only when WooPress theme is activated or with default WP theme too.
Let us know results.

Hi Rose,
Thanks for your answer, I just clicked update the theme from the update theme option and it said updated but the site broke for some reason, then i switched to twenty nineteen theme and it worked again, and then back to woopress theme where it now says update theme available, I’m very wary of doing this again because the site went offline . any ideas?

It looks like I’m on Version: 4.5.3 now but it still says Update available and the upload featured image upload is still not accessible ,

Hello,

1) I don’t see that theme is updated http://prntscr.com/lxwjf8 . Provide FTP access to help you with update.

2) Your problem with featured image caused by SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle plugin. Once I disabled plugin I see the featured image uploader. Contact plugin author to solve the problem, It’s not our theme issue.
