Hi,
I today updated my WordPress to 4.4 and that resulted in my site to be messed up. All the products have disappeared and the menus are gone etc. Are you aware of any problems, which could cause such an issue to happen?
Could it be related to the fact that my theme was not updated to the latest version at the time of the wordpress update?
Any assistance would be much appreciated. I’ve asked my service provider for a server backup restore meanwhile, but surely there has to be a way for me to update my wordpress version without messing up my site.
Regards,
Peeter
Hello,
As I see now your theme is updated.
Have you reinstalled WordPress?
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Hello,
Not really. I manually updated the theme after the wordpress was updated, to see, if this maybe fixes the problems. It didn’t. Now I’m waiting my server service provider to make a backup restore of my server to get it back running on the old version of the theme and wordpress. But I’d still like to update the worpress version then for security reasons.

Hello,
Please clarify how you updated WordPress, via dashboard or reuploading files via FTP?
We can’t know what the reason was that your data was removed. Sorry. Perhaps something wrong happened with your database.
So also ask your hosting provider support to restore database, not only files.

Jack Richardson.
Hi,
The wordpress was updated via dashboard. Should i try reuploading the files?
Anyways the backup was done now together with the database and the site is back up and running. The template was also updated. But as i tried once before the site will be broken, if I’d update wordpress to 4.4.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hello,
Try to update WordPress manually uploading files via FTP. Make sure back up is present.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Hi,
Thanks. Did the manual update, but when logging in wordpress asks for database update, and the site is still broken. Attached is a screenshot with the errors i got. Maybe this helps to analyze the problem?
Restoring the backup for the moment.

Hello,
The problem is some tables from your database are missing. This is the issue related to hosting provider support. Contact them and ask if they have database back up, try to restore it.
