    DEBUG.LOG
PHP Warning: Unknown: open(tmp\sess_suj9s0c7eh0vfl5g4bgo6qfvo0, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: Unknown: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (tmp) in Unknown on line 0

    >> After installing WooZone v.9.0.4.3 (by AA-Team), both the website (front end) and admin showed a 500 error.

    >> Deleting the WooZone plugin eliminates the issue.

    >> Activating Debugging allowed access to both (website & admin), but showed the above errors at the bottom of the page.

After about 22 hours of research, speaking with hosting support, communications with 8Theme, and personal experimentation…

    Hello,

    1) If you check the error you’ll see that this issue is related not to our theme but to server environment that you use. Read this post http://www.shdon.com/blog/2014/05/09/php-why-might-session_start-fail-claiming-no-such-file-or-directory

Contact your hosting provider to fix the problem with your sessions.

    >> I was able resolve the 500 error on the website side by doing the following:

create tmp folder – set permissions to 777
    create .user.ini file with “session.save_path = tmp”
    create php56.ini file with “session.save_path = tmp”
(not sure why I had to do both, but that’s what worked)

==> I am still showing the same errors above on the admin side.

I’ve started completely over with a new WordPress installation running the XSTORE theme with default demo content and plugins provided with theme (+akismet).

I’m on an old Windows server running iis7 and PHP5.6 – this is definitely not a great thing…

    Hello,

If you have problems with saving sessions you need to solve this with your hosting provider. I would like to help you but, unfortunately, we don’t support issues about your web hosting or server environment. We can fix any issue if it’s related to theme files but if it’s related to hosting we can do nothing and you need to solve it with hosting support.

    Regards
