    Hi there,

    I updated to Woocommerce yesterday (i know i will wait for a theme update next time – silly me) and the text size became extremely large, the image and info is all on the left, there is no longer has the option to slide through the images and there is no quick view option either. There are also strange black dots to the left of the image. The shop page also puts the categories in strange positions and no longer has the chain link that you click through to the product pages.

    I have adjusted the text size so it looks decent again but I don’t know how to fix the shop page or the product image positioning.

    Do you have a way to get that original positioning back and the functions we had before?

    Thank you for your help.

    Kind Regards,
    Kathryn

    Hello,

    We can’t access your site. It’s not loading. Is there any problem on your server or you restricted access to the site?

    Also provide us with FTP credentials.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hi Eva,

    Thank you, the hosting guys got back to me. Here are the FTP details as well as login info.
    Both of my sites have the same problem. I have given login and FTP for both.

    Thank you for your help.

    Kind Regards,

    Kathryn

    Hi Eva

    Thank you so much I appreciate your assistance. It worked!

    I need help with another issue regarding meta tags on both sites. I have a plugin WPSSO and in order to allow the correct images to share to social channels with the description I set using their plugin I need to ensure there are no duplicate meta tags. It appears there are a few meta tags that are conflicting.

    Would you be able to disable those meta tags from the theme? The following Meta Tags are duplicates.

    Meta property=”og:title”
    Meta property=”og:type”
    Meta property=”og:description”
    Meta property=”og:URL”
    Meta property=”og:site_name”
    Meta property=”og:image”

    I am not sure where I would go to disable them. The plugin I purchased optimizes the social sharing capabilities by allowing me to set images with specific dimensions for each social channel.

    Please let me know if this would be possible. Thank you so much. If you need me to create a new ticket for this let me know. FTP and logins are still the same.

    Kind regards

    Kathryn

    Hi eva,

    Thank you so much. I see the error and i appreciate your assistance.

    There is still one warning i receive which is for meta property image. Do i put the same /* */ around the following:

    if(!has_post_thumbnail( $post->ID )) {
    $default_image = get_site_url().’/wp-content/uploads/facebook-default.jpg’;
    echo ‘<meta property=”og:image” content=”‘ . $default_image . ‘”/>’;
    }
    else{
    $thumbnail_src = wp_get_attachment_image_src( get_post_thumbnail_id( $post->ID ), ‘large’ );
    echo ‘<meta property=”og:image” content=”‘ . esc_attr( $thumbnail_src[0] ) . ‘”/>’;
    }
    echo “”;

    Hi Jack,

    Thank you for your help.

    I noticed in the code there is the following:

    <li class=”share-pintrest”>
    <span class=”icon-pinterest”></span>

    Is the Pinterest shown above meant to be Pintrest or Pinterest? It says “share-pintrest” and then the rest are spelt pinterest.
    I am having trouble sharing the image i set for pinterest and wondering if this may be affecting it.

    Kind Regards,

    Kathryn

    Hi Jack,

    When i try to share to Pinterest the wrong image is used. I have an image set to use for Pinterest and for Facebook that is different to the featured image. It has optimized dimensions for each social platform. The plugin i use is WPSSO. It allows me to set the image i want shared on the various platform.

    When i share to facebook it uses the correct image i have set but when i share to Pinterest it does not share the image i have set. For example i have an image set for facebook for the URL below that is 1200px x 630px. It shares that image correctly. I have set an image for Pinterest that is 735×1102 however it shares the featured image.

    This is the URL:

    http://zoeyandlogan.com/shop/baby-gift-bundle-misty-grey/

    You will notice it shares a specific image to facebook that is different to the featured image (which is correct) and when shared to Pinterest it is not sharing the set image but rather the featured image.

    So when i was looking at the code i saw that it said share-pintrest and later on pinterest and wondered if that could be affecting something?

    Thanks for your help.

    Kind Regards,

    Kathryn

    Hello,

    Sorry, but pinterest icon uses featured image that is set in the product editor.
    If you want to change it you need reupload your featured image.
    The code “share-pintrest” doesn’t affect it.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hi eva,

    Thank you. I did the theme update and didn’t realise it would clear out the /* */ changes we made to the meta tags. I tried to put them in and i incorrectly placed them around the image meta tag and i get this error:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in /home/noteworthygirl/public_html/wp-content/themes/legenda/framework/theme-functions.php on line 1323

    Would you be able to adjust it for me so i can see where it was placed again and then i will correctly adjust it on my other site.

    Thank you.

    Kind Regards,
    Kathryn

    Hello,

    As you can see the issue is related to WordPress, not to the theme, you should either ask your hosting provider support about it or contact WordPress forums.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.
