Woocommerce – short description - by RR123

Hello,

I have just discovered that Woocommerce also has a “short description” field, where a shorter description can be placed. This is important for a plugin and was news to me – everyday is a school day 🙂 Documentation on this seems very rare in Woocommerce in general on this topic.
- How does or could Xstore use these short descriptions?
- Are there shortcodes?
- Is there anything else interesting about in the theme or more generally that come to mind?

I just saw the term “excerpt” being used for the short descriptions… but the documentation still seems v poor in the WC community

Hello,

1) You can see short description if use the list type on shop page http://prntscr.com/d7wy1g
2) This is not shortcode
3) Theme has a lot of options, it’s difficult to describe them all in two words. Tell me what exactly are you looking for?

Just found out that the the Xstore shows the full description instead of the short description on the products page. This is a bug since other themes dont have this issue. Im using the latest: v3.3

Our theme shows short description next to the main product image and full description in the product tabs http://prntscr.com/dnzsrm and List view http://prntscr.com/dnzt9f

We don’t have any problems on our test installs. If you have any issue with this, please, provide me link to the page and temporary admin panel access.
