Woocommerce product category menu on right

1. hello, how can I enable woocommerce menu with the shop categories menu on the single product page? It is on other pages except the single product page? The single product page doesn’t have the shop category on the side

2. They are updates to our templates and plugins. We should backup our old site and just use the auto update button to upgrade? Will it cause the old site to mess up?

Hello,

1. Make sure that sidebar is enabled for the single product http://prntscr.com/ov1w3o after that go to Appearance > Widgets > add the Product categories widget to single product page sidebar.

2. You need to make a backup of all the files and database. If you update theme/pugin to the minor version (from 5.1 to 5.2, for example) there should not be any issues. But if you update theme from 4.x to 5.x you will face some changes of the theme styles. Also, sometimes problems may be related to child theme if you changed some files/functions that were removed/improved in theme update. So, every situation is individual.
