Variables not showing up as options (before updating)
Cart/Add to cart option disappeared from site (after updating to WordPress 4.0)

Forums suggest that it’s server using an outdated Mod_security ruleset
    https://support.woothemes.com/hc/en-us/articles/203104197-Variable-Product-Add-to-Cart-Not-Working

Chrome loads this error (Inspect elements > console):
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
but that was for the custom.css

I tried downloading a couple of plugins that have apparently fixed similar products before but they didn’t in our case.

The only error that I can still think off that might be causing this problem is the memory limit issue (Woocommerce > System Status):
WP Memory Limit: 40 MB – We recommend setting memory to at least 64MB. See: Increasing memory allocated to PHP

    Hello,

Ask your host to increase memory limit value. If it doesn’t help please provide us with FTP and wp-admin panel credentials in Private Content.

    Thank you.
