Good morning, I have a problem with some woocommerce translations, some strings are not translated, for example, “Cart” or “No products in the cart” remain in English. I’m sure the .po and .mo files are present in /wp-content/languages/plugins and are translated at 100%. It seems to me all in order, I do not understand why it does not work properly. Help (even just to tell me in which direction I have to investigate) would be really appreciated.

    Greetings.

    Dear Rose Tyler,
Thanks for your help, I looked at the links you showed me and I tried looking at Loco Translate / themes and selected WooPress Child (screen_01.png) and here I added a new language (Italian) to WooPress – 8theme WordPress theme. Then I saw that there were also strings such as “Cart” and “No products in the cart”, so I tried to translate them into Loco Translate. Now I noticed that if I update the site page, the word “Cart” in the upper right is translated into Italian but only for a second, then back to English.

This is not a multilingual site, I do not use plugins like WPML I just want to be localized all in Italian. It should not be difficult, woocommerce should see the language set for the site and if present translations files should be located without any problems. Right?

I also tried not to use the child theme but it did not change anything. I also attach another screenshot (screen_02.png)

    Thanks for the attention.

    Hello,

Unfortunately, I can’t see your screenshots.
    Is your problem solved? https://prnt.sc/fheh4l

You can not see the files just because I (stupidly) did not load them … anyway, by deleting the browser cache I now see the text correctly translated into Italian. This I get by inserting translations into Loco Translate /
    Themes / WooPress Child / WooPress – 8theme WordPress theme / woopress-en_US.po (screen_03.png)

I can not believe, however, that I must translate 1375 strings to 100%. Does not exist an .mo file already translated? And then do not understand in which folder is the file to translate with locally translate?

    Thank you for your understanding.

I found where the files are. In wp-content / languages / loco / themes there are woopress-it_IT.po and woopress-it_IT.mo files

I own the files already located in woocommerce, not woopress in italian. What can you tell me about it?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

You need translate theme by yourself but only the necessary strings, visible on the frontend.
Unfortunately, we do not have ready translation files.

    Rose Tyler.

This is definitely a solution, because I get the translations. However, I am convinced that this is not the best solution possible. I think the right way is this (Loco Translate / Plugins / WooCommerce) where I already have .po and .mo files translated to 100%.

If you can run this way for me it would be the cleanest solution. I have no urgency and can wait a few days. If in this period you will be able to give me a solution to use the woocommerce translation file (which is already translated 100%) I will be very happy, otherwise I will be forced to use the first solution that involves writing the translations needed.

    Hello to everybody.

    Hello,

Unfortunately, we can’t simplify translation process and you need to translate strings of the theme in our translation files. Woocommerce translation files can be used only for the plugin translation.
