Hello,

At first sight, I do not see a problem with your settings.
Try to disable all the third-party plugins, that do not come bundled with the theme https://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/36-included-plugins , and check how it works then.
If the situation is independent of plugins, provide us with temporary FTP access.
