    This is the second time…. the wishlist stopped working… the last time i few versions back the solution was to upgrade the theme and all came into order… but now Ive done that and the wishlist doesnt work…

    and also when I updated to the latest theme version, on my home page I had a product category slider and previously it was only showing 4 or 5 product category images with the scroll arrows… now its full width and I can barely see the arrows to scroll left to right…

    thanks,
    Jeff

    Hello,

    I’ve reuploaded “woocommerce” folder and now Wishlist page is working.
    Please clear browser cache and check.
    Concerning the slider you selected “Stretch row and content” in the row settings on VC editor. I’ve changed it to “Default” http://storage3.static.itmages.com/i/15/0608/h_1433750045_6420922_514a138b2f.png and now Product Categories slider is shown fine.
    Please check.

    You guys rock!!!

    now quick question… I know I should of maybe done this from the beginning.. but If i upload the child theme as of now… and just transfer all the customizations I have done to files like the header for example I change a few things to the original content but every time there is an update I have to re-upload my header… if I put my custom header folder in the child theme will it work? and what about other files that I have custom edited myself (like the word read more I switched to shop now, but everytime theres an update I have to go back and change it)

    thanks,
    Jeff

    Hello,

    When you activate a child theme you need create the same directory structure as in the parent theme and move your files there, for example if you made changes in the file wp-content/themes/royal/woocommerce/content-single-product.php then the same structure should be in the child theme: themes/royal-child/woocommerce/content-single-product.php.

    Awsome that worked.

    one last question… in the header content that I changed… I was using the space to the left of the logo for the language switcher (wpml) but Ive decided to put it on the top bar and put text in the space left of the logo…

    my question is what code do I need to add so that the text gets translated…

    ex. Free shipping in canada needs to say livraison gratuit au canada

    But since the file header-structure-2.php doesnt automatically translate do I need to add a php function to that sentence of text?

    thanks,
    Jeff

    Hello,

    Do you mean this text in the header on your site: “FREE SHIPPING OVER C$99 (CANADA ONLY)” ?
    Unfortunately it can’t be translated via WPML.
    We can recommend you to upload original header-structure-2.php file and write your text in WP admin > Settings > General > Tagline. After that you’ll be able to translate it in WPML > String Translation.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

    Great suggestion Jack, I played with the css afterwards to get things where I wanted them and now that problem is solved… and even better I solved another issue of not having to mod the header-strucure-2.php file everytime theres an update.

    Thanks a bunch all.

    Everytime I figure im done with this website I just end up finding more issues….

    Ive made a page to list all brands… but it actually shows the brand thumbnails in double (since there is 2 versions i guess french and english) but technically there shouldnt be a need to translate brands (for my purposes)

    how can i filter out the double brands?

    thanks

    Hello,

    To fix that issue remove the file taxonomy.php in the directory wp-content/themes/royal and keep WPML Media plugin enabled.

    Thank you.

    That did the trick Eva thank you.

    One last thing after this the site can finally go live…

    is there a way to have the abbreviated language selecter EN | FR in the sticky header only?

    because my issue is as soon as the people start scroll down on the page they lose the option of changing language, so having it in the sticky header would be ideal.

    thanks,
    Jeff

    Hello,

    I’ve edited the file header.php in the directory wp-content/themes/royal and added this code <div class="languages_selector"><?php do_action('icl_language_selector'); ?></div> in line 74. Also I’ve added the following code in custom.css file:

    .languages_selector {
       margin-top: 40px !important;
       margin-right: 20px;
    }

    .languages_selector #lang_sel_list a {
        font-size: 15px !important;
    }
    .languages_selector #lang_sel_list a:hover {
        color: #CDA85C !important;
    }

    Please check fixed header now.
    You can activate child theme and copy header.php to the directory wp-content/themes/royal-child so you won’t lose the changes after theme update.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.
