    Hello, wdbcar,

    Unfortunately, this functionality is not available by default in either WordPress or the theme.
    In order to make the admin area of your site in Chinese while keeping the frontend in English, you need to add the following code to the functions.php file of your child theme.

    <?php
    /**
     * Force admin UI in Chinese, front-end in English.
     */
    add_filter('locale', function ($locale) {
        // Admin area (Dashboard, wp-admin/*) => Chinese (Simplified)
        if ( is_admin() ) {
            return 'zh_CN'; // or 'zh_TW' for Traditional
        }

        // Front-end => English (US)
        return 'en_US';
    }, 10);

    Best regards,
    8Theme Team
