Hi, When clicking on the paypal direct buy button an item is added to the cart, if you cancel the payment and put the item normally ” in the cart” then the item is in the cart twice. I do not know if this is a theme error or still from paypal plugin side is an error. In private is a link to watch the video.

    Hello, @salmi,

Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.

    1) We suggest disabling all third-party plugins (including cache plugins & optimizaing plugins) that do not come bundled with XStore (https://xstore.helpscoutdocs.com/article/36-included-plugins), clearing the cache of the browser, and then checking again. It is possible that one of the additional plugins is causing the issue.

If the issue still persists, please keep all third-party plugins deactivated on your site and grant permission to debug your site, which includes deactivating all third-party plugins and on-site Customization. This will allow us to investigate and assist you accordingly.

Please note that you should take a complete backup of your site before proceeding.

In addition, please provide your site’s WP Admin URL and credentials in the private content area of this topic, so that we can look into it further:

    WP Admin URL:
    WP Admin Username:
    WP Admin Password:

    2) Please check how it works when the default WooCommerce theme – Storefront is activated (Appearance > Themes).
The situation on your site may be independent of our theme, so we ask you to do this test.

It can be caused by a plugin, custom code or something else.

    Let us know the result.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team.

Hi, it seems to be a standard phenomenon here that when the paypal direct buy button is clicked the item is also automatically placed in the cart, but in the xstore theme you can not see that the item is already in the cart (the number in the cart does not change from 0 to 1) only when you go to the cart page, you see that the item is available, that is a problem because the customer can not know. Solution here would be: customer clicks on the paypal direct buy button and the number of cart icon changes from 0 to 1, so the customer knows that the item is already in the cart. Done.

In private again a link to the video and admin data.

    Hello, @salmi,

We kindly request you to check the functionality when “Always Load Wc-Cart-Fragments” is set to Activated under Xstore >> Theme Options >> Speed Optimization.

Should you encounter any issues or if this does not resolve your problem, please do not hesitate to inquire about FTP access. We will then proceed to investigate further and determine the best course of action to assist you.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team

    Hello, Salmi,

We have identified that the issue is caused by the action refresh not being triggered after an item is added to the cart. The action should be specified in the subsequent file (Private Content).

Could you please check the operation of this with the default theme (Storefront) and without using the SiteGround Optimizer functionality?

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team

Hello, we had already tested this, the optimizer is disabled and in the standard theme there is no ajax shopping cart to test. You have the admin data and can test it with pleasure.

    Hello, Salmi,

We have investigated the issue with the default WooCommerce theme “Storefront” and found that the problem persists, as detailed in the video (Private Content area).
It means the situation is independent of the theme and, unfortunately, we are unable to rectify this issue. Any attempt to alter the functioning of PayPal could be construed as interference and potentially perceived as fraudulent activity, which could lead to the associated account being blocked.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team
