Visual Editor asking for Activation - by seandigisave

Hello

We’ve recently been caught up in this (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-36072240) where are hosting company 123-Reg deleted around 100 VPS’s

I had only just started building this website so hadn’t made a backup. I hadn’t changed much anyway.

So today I am ready to start on this website again. We now have a new VPS, installed WP and then installed the theme. Selected my layout and then clicked “Edit With Visual Composer”. All the screen does is load.

If I go Visual Composer in the dashboard I see these messages

Please activate your license in Product License tab!

In order to receive all benefits of Visual Composer you need to activate your copy of plugin. By activating Visual Composer license you will unlock premium options – direct plugin updates and access to official support.

If I try to activate WPBakery says I have no license. This theme was supposed to come with a license for this.

Hello,

All plugins are external extensions which are included into theme because for each product we purchase “Extended license” and that’s why we are able to include it into them.
This plugins work fine without activation and you can always get actual version if you want directly from us.
We update plugins with theme updates time to time so with each next theme update, plugins will be also updated.
The option with registering of these plugins has been already added to plugin and this only allow you to get automatic updates and support for this plugin directly from author if you need.
You don’t need to register this product because it is not required but if you want to get those features, then you need to purchase this plugin directly from author. This is how it works for all themes on Themeforest and not only in our case.

enter your purchase code of the theme to get the plugins.

But I could Edit Page With Visual Composer the other week, why can’t I do that now?

All that happens now is the icon just keeps loading.

Hello,

Are you using the latest VC plugin version?
Is backend editor working?

Hi Eva

No we weren’t. Im just trying to upload the update zip from your site but am struggling to upload it due to mem limits. However, the upload and post size set on my server is 128m and I have a php.ini in my wp-admin folder with the following.

<? phpinfo(); ?>
memory_limit = 256m
upload_max_filesize = 128M
post_max_size = 128M

So I can’t understand why it won’t upload.

Hello,

There is incompatibility issue between WordPress 4.5 and old Visual Composer version, that’s why you have to update the plugin. Please give us FTP credentials. We’ll try to update VC.
