    Hello,

when I want to add a single image via visual composer (shortcode) … everything works fine.

When I now want to add a link to this element … the link is removed when I save the element.

    There should be a:

    [vc_single_image image=”1244″ img_link_target=”_self” img_link=”http://www.link-to-a-page/” img_size=”1024×740″]

    … but the part:

    img_link=”http://www.link-to-a-page/”

… gets striped out completely when I save the element/ page.

I allready deactivated all other plugins an I tested it with another theme. With the other theme everything worked fine … so legenda could be the source for this problem.

It would be great if You could help me.
    Greetings Tobi

    Hello,

Are you editing pages in VC backend editor or classic editor?
Try to add the link via VC backend editor:

If it doesn’t help please provide us with the link where you’re trying to insert the image and your login details to wp-admin panel in Private Content.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello Eva,

yes it is the Backend Editor I use.

Yes I use this filed “Image link” (exactly like on the screen You provided).

When You enter a url there … then press “Save” … and then open this pop-up again … the url is gone.

    Greetings
    Tobi

Yes, I can reproduce the problem from my side, but it’d be better if you provide us with full permissions to investigate this issue.
    Thank you.

    Hello Eva,

I am sorry. I can’t give You FTP Accesse to this server 🙁

Perhaps I can build another test site on another server … then I will try to get this kind of access for You.

    Greetings
    Tobi

    Hello Eva,

I gave You the appropriate right in the administration.

    Greetings
    Tobi

BTW: Perhaps I found a problem in:

    wp-content/themes/legenda/woocommerce/myaccount/my-adress.php

    … where it reads:

    add_query_arg(‘address’

… could it be that this should be:

    add_query_arg(‘edit-address’

    Hello,

I was able to create a link for the image added img_link="http://bauberater.cmswp.de/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Galerie-001-10.jpg" into the VC shortcode via classic editor. Please check this test post http://bauberater.cmswp.de/?p=246
Sorry, but without FTP access we can’t investigate what is causing the issue.
Meanwhile you can add links this way.

Concerning “my-adress.php” question, do you have any problems with “My account” section?

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

    Hello,

this is right … I saw the link in classic mode.

When I then open the Visual Editor in the ‘normal’ visual mode … and look at the field for the link … it is still there.

When I then save this pop-up … the link is gone.

Thank You for Your help. Since I can’t give You FTP access I will try to find a workaround …

Concerning “my-adress.php”: If You use Your code the “Edit” Buttons for a logged in customer beside the billing and shipping adress blocks will not work.

Could you please provide us with the link of the page where billing and shipping address blocks are displayed? Also what do you mean by “Your code”? Please clarify with more details.
    Thank you.

    Eva Kemp.

    Hello Eva,

I will give You more information to the “my-adress.php” thing when the page I am producing is online. Then I will open a new topic on that.

Just this: There is a page called “My account” (produced by woocommerce) … at the bottom of this page there are the shipping and the billing adress of the customer. Beside this adresses there is a link called “Edit”. This is not working for me … nothing happens when I click on this link.

When I searched the code I found this in “my-adress.php”:

    add_query_arg(‘address’

… when I changed this to:

    add_query_arg(‘edit-address’

    .. the links worked again.

But I will write You about this with an example when my site is online.

Ok. We’ll leave this topic open for you to continue when your site is ready.
If the edits you made have fixed the problem then it’s great as some little bugs may occur in the theme.

    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

Hello bergtobi, did you ever resolve the Single Image link issue not getting saved ? I got the same problem and only when using Legenda. And I use VC on pretty much all my WP sites.

    Hello ianstudio,

no, this problem is still not solved for me. I run Legenda and Visual Composer on about four sites together (evenry aspect [theme … plugin … core] of the pages ist absolutly up to date) … it is not working on any if them.

This does not happen to other sites with other themes in combination with visual composer.

Told my customers not to touch the “single image widget”. If there is a need to change the Link … they have to call me … i then change it in the Code of the page.

    Greetings
    Tobi
