Visual Composer Security Issue update - by fewofakind

    Hi 8theme

    I have had an email from themeforest (where I bought the Woopress theme).

    They are saying I need to update the Visual Composer plugin because of security issues:

    Email from themeforest: “We are getting in touch to let you know about multiple XSS security vulnerabilities in the Visual Composer WordPress plugin versions prior to 4.7.4 (releases prior to October 2, 2015). This plugin was included in items you’ve purchased (listed below).”

    Please let me know if this plugin update will work with my current version of Woopress, or if i also have to update the theme? I remember on some forum threads it has been mentioned that theme/plugin bundles only work with the versions that come in the bundle.

    I am currently using Woopress version 2.4

    Hello,

    You need update the VC plugin as said in the email.
    You can download the latest version here:
    https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/

    Also update the theme and delete the file woopress/vc_templates/vc_row.php as mentioned in the theme version description http://storage5.static.itmages.com/i/15/1012/h_1444660517_4157595_c6e32e41be.png .
