Visual composer – Page content not showing

    The pages are not showing in visual composer anymore. Tried uninstall some plugins but nothing is helping. Can’t edit the content anymore, please help!! Just updated the theme but it did no difference.

    Hello,

    You need update Visual Composer plugin to the latest version https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ , also update all required plugins.

    Thank you so much! Now the front end editor works! Still no content showing in the backend editor av Visual Composer. But I’m fine with the front for now, thanks!!

    Some plugin is causing the issue with backend editor.
    Disable them one by one to find it out.

    I am having this exact same issue. No changes have been made except update to new WP installation.

    I deleted the plugin, download the update and re-installed. It still does not work.

    Try to clear browser cache and check again or check in another browser.

    I also had the same problem with my Visual editor not working, right after I updated to the most recent release of WordPress 4.5. Since Visual Composer came bundled with the theme, I bought a new copy directly from WP Bakery and activated the license. But it still did not work and so I emailed Visual Composer and they said:

    “The issue is because there is a Visual Composer related code present in your theme added by the theme author. You will have to get rid of it. I would advise you to do so with the help of theme author, otherwise you might loose the extra elements added by them. Once this is done, you can install the standalone plugin and it will work fine. ”

    For some reason, the visual editor is now working, but the question still remains – do I need to get rid of the code so that Visual Composer continues to work properly?

    Hello erinok,

    there was incompatibility issue between previous version of Visual Composer and WordPress 4.5. but now it is fixed in latest release of plugin so you do not need to remove any code from theme. Is Visual Composer working correct at the moment?

    FIXED! Thanks Jack… i just needed to refresh my cache.

    So for anyone else having these issues, here is how I corrected it:
    1. Download the latest plugin for Visual Composer.
    2. Refresh your cache and browser.
